Why would it be an ‘absolute disaster’? I know they seem like they’ll be ok now but if they do end up going down, what difference is it going to make? What a turnaround, even more impressive with a few key injuries that i thought could be crucial: Trippier, Wilson & Saint Maximum, really impressed with Eddie Howe and now with a tougher run in, at least they now should be fine so could pick up some points of the top teams.0

Unless i've misunderstood that then it's a non story surely. Clearlake own 60% of Chelsea, and they also manage assets for the Saudi PIF. There's nothing in there to say that PIF have anything to do with Chelsea.0

Doesnt make any sense, why would PIF want to silently own part of Chelsea. The reason they have bought Newcastle is for publicity and the benefit of sportswashing

Clearlake investors only hold a maximum of 5% of the company, and that company invest or have assets in over 300 places/companies/things. No-one of us know if within that, all the investors have fingers in all 300, or if they all pick and choose what they personally invest in, but I have a feeling that's how they'll say it is.
The Saudi's have the money to buy Chelsea outright, if they really wanted to they could jog Newcastle on and buy them instead, they don't need or have any reason to hide through Clearlake0 - Sponsored links:
