Bought safe standing in block 7 x 2 Have really enjoyed the standing experience at Ipswich, Derby, Hull etc. Feels like the good old days to be honest (bar the ruddy great bar along the length of the row of course and oh the seats which weren’t there on the terraces either - just standing up then 🤦🏻‍♂️😂)

Did buy in block 6 first row, but then I wasn't sure if it was a front row or not, so I phoned up the ticket office and swapped it for block 8 above the disabled section. Should be no one standing up infront of me that way. Also despite living in Charlton, I've booked the coach from Eltham to make sure I can get 2 seats together on it.

Phase 5 today got mine @ 2pm probably 3-4 hundred left. Good luck guys.
  • Is there a chance they will open more blocks so it will be above the 2k?

Block 8 is on sale now. Just got my two
Only the front rows though. They won't sell the rows further back until enough people have bought tickets at the front.

No way 3/4 hundred left, there’s plenty more than that

Ok Duck it was  just a rough estimate as someone asked. Just trying to help but then again if people want  to count every seat  be my guest just to prove something.

Despite having 610 points with Valley Gold , we were only allowed to purchase one disabled ticket with a helper, as they said this counts as two tickets. This seems unfair considering my dad is wheelchair-bound and wouldn’t be able to sit in a standard seat anyway. I actually needed two tickets — one for my son and me the helper — and we’ve never had any issues before, so I’m quite confused by this. We’d only be taking up two spaces in total. Hopefully, some more tickets will be released soon.

Really I purchased 2 tickets but it allowed me if I wanted to book 2 more.

Did the second person you bought for also have the qualifying points? That would explain it if so

taking inspiration from the Wycombe game think it was, I took images of the three blocks and got chat GPT to count up all the red seats and it says there are 570 which would mean from a 2,000 allocation we've sold about 1,430 so far? that would be before we get block 9 made available if we sell the initial allocation.

No, but my point to the ticket office was that we’d only be taking up two spaces in total anyway!

I’m not counting every seat, nor would I put in a ridiculous guess, can’t see the point. There were loads left, half of one block hadn’t even been released at that point. I just don’t understand why you’d just make it up ?

I am sure you have to look under the bookings. Cafc. Co. UK or whatever it is to see your loyalty points. Can't see it under the normal website.

As usual, those of us who go to every single game and have Valley Gold are rewarded with being able to  pick from the worst seats.

Another one where I will be waiting until more tickets are sold...
    It's the most ridiculous system
I’m sure that the club sells the tickets in the order it is asked to do so by the opposition, but I think in his case the caution is unnecessary. Coventry won’t care about that, however.
Yes, the decision to sell them block by block is made by the home teams.

The logical reasons for this being that:

    1. If we don't sell enough tickets, they could potentially sell the block to home fans.
    2. If we only sell tickets in the central block, there's a bigger gap between us and the home fans, meaning they can spend less on stewards and block off the seats, placing opposing sets of fans further away from each other.

However, I've seen several situations this season where neither of the above could apply, but the seats were still sold to us block by block.

A lot of people are still sitting wherever they want anyway, which is absolutely fine as the seat selection system is largely pointless. But this does cause issues in stadiums such as Pride Park and The Racecourse Ground, where you don't have as much freedom to sit where you want as there are separate entrances for different parts of the away end and you can't walk between them once inside. Every game where this has been the case has seen our loudest fans split into different areas and we've obviously been much quieter as a result. Perhaps this could be seen as a third reason for the clubs to do it?

On people sitting where they like, regardless of fans now being able to 'choose' their seat, the only issues I'm seeing is when people choose to turn up two minutes before kick-off, find the area they wanted to stand in is completely full (even though there is plenty of space in the area where their actual seat is), so decide to stand on the stairs and spend half the game arguing with the stewards. It's the same people doing this every game. Either get to the ground earlier, or accept that you aren't going to get your pick of the seats if you turn up at the last minute.

The worst instance of the above was last season when a group of around 20 people turned up 3-4 minutes before kick-off at Huddersfield and began kicking off when there weren't enough empty seats anywhere for them to all stand together, asking those of us around them to relocate so they could all be together. For clarity, they did not have tickets for those seats, or even together anywhere else. I have no idea what they were expecting to happen when they arrived so late.
I would hazard a guess that people arriving late or "just on time" have been in or around the ground for a while & have spent the past hour or so drinking. I doubt every week they have been stuck in traffic or their car has broken down.

    Got mine now.
  • Well they made it to general sale. About 50 or so left in block 8, all singles, when I looked just now, which is about half an hour after general sale started.

Do you think we’ll get more or not? Been swamped with work and now it’s singles only :-(

Why are people saying we must / will get more tickets. Coventry only have to give us 2000. They have high demand themselves for tickets. We may well get more, but the ‘surely we will / we must’ etc comments are nonsense

I’m confident now we will be given more.

2nd pic shows what Cov put as their stadium guide which shows Block 9 that hasn’t been put on sale yet is allocated to aaay supporters.

1st pic shows the blocks currently available on sale to home fans, with Block 9 not being one
