Good to see decent notice for when the ticket phases actually start. It used to be ridiculous when Phase 1 started at the same time as the announcement.

Worked well since it has been brought at the start of this season

That's the minimum allocation that a team has to give in the Championship, unless their ground is tiny (Oxford/Wrexham) then it's 10% of capacity.

Teams can give more than 2k, but they're not obliged to. In the Premier league it goes up to 3k.

Yeah remember Birmingham doing the same last season. Don't mind it as much when teams sell out their ground but still a bit of a pisstake

Hopefully this gets to phase 4 but with that allocation seems unlikely

Based on previous popular away games, it'll easily reach phase 4. Phase 5 will be a popular one though.

There's no way there's 2000 people in the first 3 phases

    Thanks
Hopefully will be ok as I can purchase 11am on Wednesday. I am picking up something my Mrs bought on line in Leamington Spa on this day so works out well for me.

"Away fans visiting the Coventry Building Society Arena are located in the South Stand, near the corner that meets the West Stand, with a typical allocation of around 3,000."

    why 2000 (min EFL requirement?)

why hasn't the club got more up front, really irriating as 3 of us want tickets and only one of us has phase 5.....

Maybe because they have sold nearly 24, 000 season tickets, when we sell that many season tickets we will be able to cut the away allocation.

    chat gpt...

I wasn’t able to find a full breakdown of away allocations for every home match of Coventry City in the 2024-25 or 2025-26 season. Some available datapoints:

    • For a fixture vs Birmingham City at the Coventry Building Society Arena, the away allocation was 2,744 tickets (1,876 seats, 802 standing) for that match.

The capacity of Coventry City's home ground, the Coventry Building Society Arena, is 32,753 so if they have 24K season tickets, 2K Charlton leaves 6,753 for sale, Coventry won't sell all of these?

But will  Charlton have discussed get more if we sell out our allocation ...

    2025 / 26 season Average attendence : 27,816 : highest 31,452 : lowest 24,583

2000 is plenty, I don't think it will sell out but if it does - it will make general sale first.

I think if we take 2k to Ipswich midweek then we could definitely sell more for this on a Saturday

Trains are 56 minutes past the hour to Coventry Arena station, and 50 minutes past the hour on the way back.
I do not know if there are more trains laid on for a matchday but if so it takes away a lot of hassle of using the bus.

Clubs in the best place it's been for years, 55 minute train from London and a new ground for a lot of people. We'll sell 2000 pretty easily imo

Norwich were given 2,000 then an additional 800. Looking at that Birmingham allocation, seems like it’s a max of 2,800.

things may have changed though in recent weeks what with Cov doing so well

    This will sell out quickly.
A lot of people will not have been to the new ground and it is an easy journey up by road and train.

You probably will be right especially and they will give each punter the option of 2 tickets. Then the week before loads of spares available as their mate cant go now.

If there was a possibility of more would the club normally say so at this stage?

Feel like this might be a wait and see scenario for both clubs rather than a commitment. If ours fly off the shelves and it’s clear we’d easily shift the 800 maybe they’ll do it. Equally if we slowly meander to the 2k and cov are selling like hotcakes, they might want the handful extra for themselves.
