Will you do the same (chatting with away fans) V Millwall?
Like asking if the sky is blue  ;) I certainly will try to.

Funny enough I nearly had my first altercation yesterday with away fans over a period of 2 years of doing this.

Proper mouthy little freak in a group of 8 or so outside the away end, but he kept quiet in the end. Surprised it took so long tbf, but most football fans are sound

Can't seem to get my head around some people saying Kaminski could have cost us, presumably regarding their "penalty" appeal, as far as I see it he went after the ball, and the guy lifted it over him and proceeded to fall over Kaminski purely by his momentum, I don't know what else Kaminski could do, he didn't "trip" the guys feet or anything like that, it was just a coming together...🤷‍♂️

If the keeper comes, doesn't get the ball and clatters into the man, it's a pen or at least should be.
Except that Kaminski was flat on the ground and the attacker “fell” over him.

Yes, Kaminski dithered, which is concerning, but he didn’t clatter into their man.

Not sure it matters if he was flat on the ground if he doesn't get the ball. Even Jones said it was a pen.

Sitting in the upper north, how annoying was the flashing on the led avert boards that faced us?
Without wanting to sound too over the top, that might well cause issues for some people sensitive to seizures, if it happens to occur at the right frequency.  They need to sort that.  I thought the ground looked good though with the facelift bits and bobs.

Now if they can just sort out the appalling service (shout out to the bar staff in fans bar who tried to charge me ten quid for two halves, offering to "show me" if I wanted, which when I asked him to, magically changed to 6 quid).
I have epilepsy and I must say that it didn't bother me at all. Didn't even think about it until you mentioned it here.

I’m still concerned about Leaburns body language, he just doesn’t seem happy, thought the same before he got injured last season.
Thought Leaburn was bang up for it when he came on
100%. And looked sharp, looked fast and showed some decent feet. Look forward to seeing more of him now. The great thing we have now and haven’t had for a long time is a team full of players who are largely all tied down to us for the foreseeable, next 2 years minimum, more in many cases. They are all going to be as motivated to succeed for us as possible.

  • Great game, thought we looked good and held our own if not edging the game with some good chances and pen shouts.

Very disappointing pizza before the game in the north upper. Also advertised half pizzas but “we don’t do half pizzas” which is a shame as I threw half away as it was terrible.
  • Carey looked very good to me, as well as Apter. Apart from Kaminskis mental minute felt quite safe with him between the sticks.

Thought Kelman looked a bit lost, needs to be played with someone big and strong who can compliment his game.

As many have said I thought Doc was our weak link, but nothing major.

No chance the ref was giving that as a pen after not giving one for the foul on Edwards

I think Edwards was a pen and so was there’s with Kaminski.
Tanto’s wasn’t a pen. He was being pulled up to the edge of the area but was released before heading into it.

Surprised there haven't been more posts castigating Lord Conor for almost hitting a corner straight out of play in the 94th minute ;)

Our set pieces were shocking last season until we got Gilbert taking corners. Our first free-kick as well yesterday, WTF was that LOL

Take a look at the movement of Lloydy in this clip (11-20 secs). Excellent.
That is excellent and also brilliant from docherty who confuses them by ignoring his marker and grabbing jones marker to enable Jones to do what he wants, nice set play
    Serious animal cunning.

It was more to do with…he started to close down the player then hesitated back then went again & at that point was not in control,if he had carried on with his 1st decision, the penalty given or not given would not have mattered either way…anyways early days, with a complete new team in front of him, comms will get better between them all, otherwise Ramsey hits row Z next time…

They really don't like Nathan do they...😂😂

    Quote from a Watford fan;...
"How can you possibly be happy about this game We were absolutely awful and were saved by Selvik,  Ngakia wrestled a Charlton player down in the box and should have given away a penalty",

Not a mention about the penalty so many of us seem to think they should have had
  • So many good performances yesterday especially across the back line. Thought Coventry was quietly impressive too.

Carey looked some player though. It's a good few years since I've seen a central midfielder at Charlton put in such a dominant performance. He was everywhere and had some quality too. Looks a player you can build around.

    That's a pretty good crowd.

But makes you realise how hard it will be to compete in this League when you see that only 2 teams - Oxford & QPR - had a smaller attendance today.
Some context needed, in that after the other half of the clubs play at home, I guess we won't be in the bottom 5 of attendance.
  • Though Carey was superb yesterday.

Question (apologies if this has been asked already) , where do he and Knibbs fit in together in this side? Or indeed can they play in the same 11?

Our ground was almost empty at times last season so to see the crowd yesterday was very impressive. We've lost a lot of support in recent years so anything 17.5k plus would be good.
