CAFC STATEMENT

Read a club statement in relation to events at The Valley during the match against Middlesbrough on Sunday afternoon
The club is extremely saddened by the situation which has led to supporters demonstrating ahead of, and during, the match against Middlesbrough on Sunday.
Every supporter has the right to voice their opinion and we are determined to do everything we can to work together with supporters to build our relationship with them and make sure they remain at the heart of this club.
We would like to thank supporters for getting behind the team today as we picked up a valuable three points in our fight to stay in the Championship.

The flags out, they must be serious this time.9

What a bizarre statement from the club ?!

Pathetic statement , they're running scared- who cares that the fans have 'saddened' the club.... Ridiculous thing to say7

Two words, one ends in off.13

What a weird thing to do.
The content is even weiderer.

Well, that's helped a lot with my "what will I do with this empty bucket?" dilemma....
But, I haven't a clue where I'll find enough mouthwash.0 -

I'd only have a better relationship with them if they sell up and piss off.9 -
Strange. Perhaps it's beginning to sink in ? That statement could only have come from Katrein or RD himself. Trouble is it's too little too late.2

Blah blah blah, we got caned on sky and so now the worst thing we can do is have a pop at the customers.2
-
I thought for a minute we were going to get told off for being naughty boys and girls. But no, a nothing statement from the pathetic management.2

Not written by squirrel face as it is at least coherent.
Still a waste of time though.10 -
The way I read it is the are holding their hands up in an admission of both guilt and acceptance to messing things up, today might just be the straw that starts to break the Belgium back.6

It is the regime that have "saddened the club", the fans (sorry customers) are entitled to their say and today they did it, live on TV. They certainly are scared and good job, get out now.sammy391 said:Pathetic statement , they're running scared- who cares that the fans have 'saddened' the club.... Ridiculous thing to say

It's also them suggesting (again) that its just about unfortunate results on the pitch:
"The club is extremely saddened by the situation which has led to supporters demonstrating".

Don't be fooled, it's just another plug for target 20k4

"we are determined to do everything we can to work together with supporters to build our relationship with them and make sure they remain at the heart of this club"
Yeh, as Murray and Meire have said repeatedly. And every time words have been followed by sweet FA23 -
Sadly not a chance of them changingDaarrzzetbum said:The way I read it is the are holding their hands up in an admission of both guilt and acceptance to messing things up, today might just be the straw that starts to break the Belgium back.

"The situation that has led......" They are the situation that has led.
"Work together with supporters......." Even though pretty much everything they have said and done has been the opposite.
Apart from that, great statement that has completely filled me with confidence and changed my opinion.2 -
Ah, so they CAN comumicate with
supporterscustomers when they want.......5 -
"Aim to work with fans and build a relationship"
Well there it is ladies and gents....the 100th rehash of the exact same line.17 -

No chance. They're playing lip service and have said the same crap before.Daarrzzetbum said:The way I read it is the are holding their hands up in an admission of both guilt and acceptance to messing things up, today might just be the straw that starts to break the Belgium back.

Reads like another statement meant for the press.24

No way that has come from Roland, and very much doubt it's from Katrien. I would bet good money on this being an initiative from the new comms lead.Bedsaddick said:Strange. FUCK OFF YOU BELGIAN CUNTS44
-
Well there we go. All those people who have moaned about the protests, can now see clearly that it is starting to have an effect on the club. Let's keep up the good work guys.11
-
I didn't read it like that at all - it admits nothing, there's not even a 'we're sorry you feel that way' style non-apology, just "we're saddened at the situation". Which is, of course, completely of their own making.Daarrzzetbum said:The way I read it is the are holding their hands up in an admission of both guilt and acceptance to messing things up, today might just be the straw that starts to break the Belgium back.

Might be that they have been asked for an official comment by one or more media outlet given the coverage today, so have published it as well.
Either way, it might be a bit more meaningful if it was attributed to someone.1 -
"Working together with the fans" ? That's why squirrel face was smirking during Operaton Beachball.
We saddened them ? Fucking rich that.2 -
nothing more than a negotiating pitch for whoever is gioing to buy the club off them - trust me, they r going to sell as soon as next seasons status is determined0

I thought it was so out of character I assumed it would have been the new communications manager.Bedsaddick said:Strange. Perhaps it's beginning to sink in ? That statement could only have come from Katrein or RD himself. Trouble is it's too little too late.
