Shows a lack of any sort of brain cells.

Jeez, go out and have your nice meal if you want - but don't broadcast it to the world you fool.

ive just signed up to twitter and called him a c***. feel much better now
  • There were a number of comments on forums from Southend fans commentating that he would play rubbish and then go out in town drinking and lauding it up in front of the United fans.

He clearly thinks a lot of himself and has no respect for his employers or their customers.

In all honesty I suspect that the difference between him and 90% of modern footballers is that he is not very bright and poorly educated.

Having said that, from memory, he was free because he had refused to play for Southend and they had refused to pay him - what did we really expect? Also, and I'm not defending him, but can we really expect much more from a footballer on twitter. If one is going to 'subscribe' to footballer's twitters then I suspect one needs to expect this kind of thoughtless comment.

I guess it doesn't help that he's not very good.

Surely you mean that's the common link between him and 90% of modern footballers?

Footballer in "having a life" shocker - so what if he's on the sauce. What's he supposed to do? Go home dress in black and declare he is in mourning?

Calling him all the names under the sun is just going to lead to all players getting banned from using it - and that would be a shame.

    Let it go

Its not that, its the fact that he has to tell everybody all about it, by all means go out for a nice meal, but don't show off to the world.

    ditto

its all about timing. if we won 4 - 2 tonight then i could understand it. but after tonights shambolics................
  • I can't stoke up the moral outrage about the bloke having a nice meal it might have been his mum's birthday or something. Or maybe he got the wrong end of the stick when his missus demanded that he take her up the oxo tower.

He's a bit of a twunt using a public forum to boast about his (very expensive) Spanish (as opposed to German/Bulgarian/Argentinian presumably) rioja. To be fair he probably spent dinner roaming around the fringes of the table trying to keep out of the waiter's way.

And so they should be banned. If they're not going on about how much bolly they've just drunk they're telling you how much they just lost on Paddy Power.Totally inappropriate and sticks in the throat when they turn out the kind of tripe they did today.

Thought the same. Maybe most of his followers are Irish friends/family or possibly he's a celebrity in Mozambique or something

Pawel Abbot said: "I'll try and smile next time! Just a bit hard to do after that performance!"

That fits in better with what I'd expect them to say if they are going to mention the match

I've not seen anything like that from Jackson, Benson, Fry or Francis.

It's a good forum between fans and players and to lose it would be a shame

I think it's a case of " When you're in a hole, stop digging". I'd suggest that anyone associated with that shambles today is in a very big hole, and Mac is currently working a JCB.

Benson does talk about gambling. I think Jackson does too, but I can't remember

There's a good bit of banter between Jackson and Fry recently. Jackson doesn't like playing left back, so that's something that will have to be sorted one way or another.

To be honest, the people who've got to the most to be pissed off about are his dining companions. You're having an expensive meal in a posh restaurant, and you're pissing about on Twitter? Classy.

So he's out on his one year anniversary to a nice restaurant and keeps updating Twitter about what a nice evening he is having. Who should feel more cheated, us or his missus?
