Not on the professional circuit, but the manager at Morecambe should be out of the door tomorrow morning, although that will not be the case.

Hired because he is also a Sikh Punjabi rather than being the best man for the job. No wonder it’s gone wrong!

Imagine if it was a white English man.
I read it more as hired because he knows the owners (who happen to be Sikh’s) a bit like Dean Holden

Have a look at his managerial history.
Unless you're taking the urinal you probably supported Fraeye 'managing' Charlton.

*Who saved their club from going under so I doubt the fans will be on their manager’s back.

Wonder if Rangers have had to make concessions to Rohl on how he wants to run things given they must be getting desperate.

If Rangers wait a few weeks, they can hire Sean Dyche after Forest sack him.

Gerrard and Muscat both reportedly walked away after being told they wouldn't have the final say on transfers. Given the basket case club Rohl has just come from and the fact he doesn't seem to be getting linked anywhere else, you'd imagine he'd be more accommodating to working within the structure Rangers want him to.

For some reason Frank Lampard posted the Rangers result on his Instagram, and the Coventry fans went into a bit of a meltdown thinking he was gonna jump ship

I'm not so sure - he'd also walked away once, suggests to me that they had to row back on something for him to then say yes.

He needs a job but managing Rangers or Celtic does not enhance a CV.
The guy has done enough with Wednesday to get a better post than this, I'm surprised he did not go back to Germany.
Norwich appear to be looking for a manager to replace Manning, he should go there.  Rangers will probably be paying a higher salary though.

    A German managing Rangers!

There is a joke in there somewhere but the woke blue noses would get triggered.

Nottingham Forest is delighted to confirm the appointment of Sean Dyche as the Club’s new Head Coach, following a thorough recruitment process led by Global Head of Football, Edu Gaspar, and Global Technical Director, George Syrianos.

The former Forest youth player joins the Club on a contract running until the summer of 2027 and will take charge of his first match on Thursday night as The Reds take on FC Porto in the Europa League.

Dyche will be joined by his experienced coaching team of Ian Woan and Steve Stone — both former Nottingham Forest players who together made more than 400 appearances for the Reds during the 1990s.

Dyche lives in Nottingham, and his assistants are both ex Forest players, so ticks the "knows the club" boxes.

There was some good analysis on Sunday's MOTD on the styles of play of various managers, and Dyche plays a similar style of football to Nuno, so seems a good fit.

"following a thorough recruitment process led by Global Head of Football, Edu Gaspar, and Global Technical Director, George Syrianos."

Well either these individuals have made some spectacularly poor appointments for Dyche to be their third permanent manager in the first seven weeks of the season or the owner is particularly trigger happy. The truth probably lies somewhere in between.

What we do know is that Dyche will go back to Forest being functional rather than good on the eye. That might be sufficient to keep them up but, even if he does do that, then that won't be enough for him to keep his job - not when the aspiration is for them to be competing in Europe.

So, in that respect, this appointment smacks of being a "stop gap" and it won't be long before the two gentlemen above will be, once again, scouring the world for their next manager.
  • Surely can't be long before Liam Manning (Norwich) and Will Still (Southampton) are sacked.

Norwich 4 defeats in a row, 1 win in 9, in the bottom 3.
Southampton 1 win in 10 since their last gasp opening day win against Wrexham.

Sounds about time he took over there, given he played so many games for them

Norwich seem like a complete shambles on and off the field. I thought Manning was a good appointment when it was made but it just hasn't worked at all, would not be surprised if he's gone before the weekend.

Southampton seem to be massively underachieving for the squad they have , think Still will get a bit more time but he needs results fast.

Saints have Blackburn away this weekend, he has to be winning that.

I know football is an unforgiving business but given it’s a year since his child died I think he’ll be given a little more time. Norwich fans mainly seem angry at the hierarchy at the moment and there’s consideration for Manning’s personal life

He needs it to be fair -considering the amount of unpaid work he did for Wednesday.
