So, how about those Sheffield Wednesday fans who were also not about in the 70s? The kids who are on the start of their journey with a hobby they’re falling in love with? The local businesses who depend on them?Should it be OK to see them suffer all because of the idiotic behaviour of others 50 years ago? Of course not.Ultimately, a bad owner at Sheffield Wednesday is not just a Sheffield Wednesday problem. It’s an English football problem. If you want to see Sheffield Wednesday lose every week or get relegated because of a personal experience - I get that. That’s part of being an emotional football fan.
But anyone taking enjoyment out of a situation where a club is potentially going to the wall needs to take a step back and see it from a far bigger (and more important) perspective.
No doubt that will just get called “woke nonsense”, but I don’t care. The health of English Football is more important than a few people’s gripes that date back to a few scrapes in the 1970s.4 -

Because of their supposedly big club status,their points deduction which was carried over to the next season relegated us,also on our relegation from the premier league,when they beat us 1-0 at the Valley,their supporters sang "always look on the bright side of life"with great pleasure.Well what comes round comes round,I dont want them to fold,just suffer like we have (We have also suffered Karma,remember "We put the Palace down"cafctom said:

They won’t want a points deduction carried over to next season this time . They will want it out the way this season as they are probably going down anyway . Last thing they will want is 12 or 15 points taken off of them that keeps them in league one .thickandthin63 said:

I do have quite a dislike for Sheff Wed like many others here. For me it stems back to when we got relegated in 1999 and how their fans behaved. There also seemed a deep sense of entitlement from their fans in the 2011/2012 season and then us getting relegated when they should have been deducted points just rubbed salt into the wounds.
I actually would like to see them go bust and get thrown out of the league, not because I have a vindictive vendetta against them; but because I think they are big enough (definitely no massive!) to survive as a phoenix team and come back into the league. At some point a club the size of Sheffield Wednesday needs to go pop in order for the whole English football world to take notice and perhaps deter rouge investors from buying clubs1 - Sponsored links:

No one would bat an eye lid if Sheffield Wednesday went bust. All the TV and Sports journalists talk about really is the top 5-6 nowadays. I can only speak as i find - and i can remember going to the FA Cup game away at Hillsborough with my then young son and those we met on a longish walk to the ground were all decent and pleasant.3

Can’t stand em! Think it was first game of the season at home to them. They done us 3-0 and they were throwing bricks etc under the Random Walk tunnel. Seen a few things outside their place after the game, namely a few of them having a pop and at a father and Son just walking back to their car after the Jacko winning free kick game. I hope they rot especially after the dodging of relegation in 19/20.1
