Big season for TC, he had a tendancy to go into his shell when a defender got on top of him, he can't afford to do that in the Champtionship.
He could do with sitting down and watching footage of Raheem Sterling and Brennan Johnson not them playing out wide but playing off a 9. He needs to believe in his pace and dribbling ability more, defenders hate that. He is still learning but has to be less bothered about taking the perfect first touch when he is so close to a full back and think a bit more about dragging them with him where they don't want to be

Does this mean we shouldn’t have signed him?

Or course not, Yann missed a penalty in the playoffs, and we reaped the rewards.
Yann will always be the perfect example of this.

At the time, I drank with a Leicester fan every week night, and he couldn't stop laughing after we signed Yann, saying we'd made a big mistake. To be fair, he admitted his mistake once Yann started doing what he did for us.

I'm encouraged by the variety in the goals. Left foot, right foot, headers, close range and outside the box.

    Love the commentators passion.

Good selection of goals, got a really good feeling he will be a bit of a star here.

Lots I’ve spoken to over the weekend has said we’ve signed a diamond here - lots of local mates and connections - Tanto’s coming home 👍

    Comments from Stockport fans seem
overwhelmingly positive , which is unusual when a player leaves . Would love us to sign another forward to complement him so we have those two plus TC, Godden and Leaburn as options .

We shall see - he obviously won’t be quite as good as had he got picked up by us earlier on but he’s here now, that’s the main thing 👍

Been trying to come up with words for a song for Tanto using ‘Enola Gay’ by OMD but struggling.

Anyone got some spare letters for my new home shirt?
    I'm short of a couple of A's, O's and W's

    Give me an l…
    Give me an S…

That should keep the crowd busy for 5 minutes.

There’s an interview with Stockport manager Dave Challinor discussing Tanto on Rich Cawley’s Substack.

Really interesting,  it's so rare to get detailed analysis about a player by the manager just after he sold him.

Great piece to read on train into work this morning. Think Challinor would be a great appointment if and when Jones were to leave the club

Was the No1 choice when Holden left but didn't want to speak with us.

Really good interview that, rare to see comments on a player who's left / other club. How does that opportunity come about?

Along with a couple of other managers.
But we were a basket case back then.
    Different situation at Charlton nowadays.

Cawley is doing an amazing job with the people he's got interviews with.

When we signed him I honestly thought what a great signing his style of play could rip the championship up. Hopefully he has got his shooting boots on

Really good interview. Challinor comes across very well. Also sounds like Tanto will fit our style, and hopefully watching Godden everyday will help him improve his composure and finishing.

    Thread deserves a bump.

Only 10 minutes on the pitch, but showed a lot.

Think he's going to be an exciting player. Watford defenders didn't seem to know how to deal with him.
    Agree
