Jackson: Where does he go from here? (P6. AFC Wimbledon)

I just watched the highlights and it made it seem a bit closer than it was imo. One thing that does amuse me is fans opinions on refs, as a neutral I thought the ref had a fairly decent game and didn't really take a side. On the way out Wimbledon fans were moaning saying the refs are against them, Bradford fans in the ground also saying they never get good refs haha.killerandflash said:The ITV highlights came from Plough Lane, with their game the lead one. Jacko was perhaps slightly unlucky to come up against a team with caretaker manager bounce!
I personally don't think he's unlucky, Bradford wasn't out of the traps quick or anything, they just played solid and didn't look like they'd concede many. Had a very low tempo, didn't appear to be a team on a new manager bounce in their effort levels. Only thing I'll say is they subbed off their number 33 Adam Wilson who looked really poor and brought on their 8 Emmanuel Osadebe and the game changed for them. Big bloke that was playing out wide but kept drifting in, he scored the winner and if you watch the highlights in general he was pretty instrumental. A player to keep an eye on potentially.
Was also quite impressed by both of Bradford's full backs, they weren't the quickest players by any stretch but really solid and were handling their 1 on 1s fairly comfortably. Would have been interesting to see CBT up against their right back Brad Halliday who looked very comfortable.0 -
Two heavy defeats in a row0

Very interesting that. Where does Jacko live, as that sounds quite a palaver to get to work!1

still one of my favourite ever Charlton players of the past 40 years - would love to see him back at some point in the future24

Can’t believe Jacko said “overground…tube” there when Sam asked how he got there.killerandflash said:Very interesting that. Where does Jacko live, as that sounds quite a palaver to get to work!Surely he could have said “Underground, Overground” 🤷🏻♂️😉18 -

I still think he's by far the most intelligent player we'd had since the premier league years. Those sort of players often go on to be very good managers. He just didn't get the time at Charlton, which is a real shame.Elthamaddick said:still one of my favourite ever Charlton players of the past 40 years - would love to see him back at some point in the future18 -
Hopefully Jones will be our manager for years to come, but years down the line after Jacko has won promotion with Wimbledon and continued to do well there then you never know.Elthamaddick said:still one of my favourite ever Charlton players of the past 40 years - would love to see him back at some point in the futureThe smart clubs nowadays recruit managers with similar styles to their previous if they are doing well. If you look at how Jackson has Wimbledon playing, their style and stats are actually pretty similar to what Jones is doing with us.If hypothetically Jones was poached tomorrow and we were looking for an EFL manager that plays a similar way and is doing well to pick up where jones left off, then Jackson would probably be your closest match. Smart clubs will always have a shortlist ready and will update/talk about it on an ongoing basis, I would not be surprised if we are keeping a close eye on Jacko5 -
A lot of the tube actually runs overground rather than underground beyond the centre of London so that might be what he was trying to say.TelMc32 said:

If Jacko was PROPER Charlton, he would have given the interviewer the train class and numbers as well.TelMc32 said:
