  • Alex Revell in that interview saying Berry's goal was "preventable"..., you were undone by a brilliantly created and taken goal, just own up to it man ffs...fool.
In the end they were running around like headless chickens, you were beaten mate, and you just can't accept it...🤷‍♂️
They all say it, every goal conceded is preventable. Of course they are but if they all were it would be coconuts every week and the table would look very strange.
  • I feel pretty confident we will stay up.
  • AMB MoM for two game changing moments. That save was next level and the type of goalkeeping promotion winning teams rely upon; the other game changer was stopping play so that  Nathan could talk to the rest of the team. I know AMB was probably told to do it but I suspect the rest of the team were also told not to keep wasting passes and to put Stevenage on the back foot but up until that point they clearly weren’t doing what they’d been told. He did. So did they after that.

Berry is playing better because the team is playing better.

I suspect, like everyone else in the team, he is getting fitter as a result of playing every week and has built up more stamina.
  • Hey @Blucher we all post our inane ramblings on here to pass the time of life, but I just wanted to say how much i always enjoy your post-match quality contributions. More often than not, your articulate summary is better than what i could, and if i ever see a game differently than you, I question myself about my interpretation.

Anyway, thank you, and please keep posting them!
Looks like @Blucher is getting a promote soon.

    Which reminds me…..😉
  • Of course he did...
Stand corrected. That was a great touch, when they looked very likely to score.
  • Don’t think it’s been mentioned but highlight of the game has got to be when Tyreece Campbell started running down the wing and Nutjob Nathan started sprinted alongside him 🤣

He's absolutely barmy. I watched on the box yesterday and could actually hear him clear as day yelling instructions sometimes.

I would love them to stick a gopro on his head and monitor his heart rates. Would be content.

I reckon when he goes home after the game his brain is wired.

Time for us as fans to step up now. The players deserve to see less empty seats and more noise from the stands.
Agreed , Stevenage made all the noise for the first hour , we had zero personality .
This team effort and results wise is brilliant , performance wise it’s not quite hitting the spot as greedy as id like but in all honesty I just don’t think the appetite is there for a 12.30 or midweek match and 95% of fixtures in this league are just dull and don’t get the juices flowing for your on the fence punter .
  • Decent win, decent performance. All credit to Jones & the players who have massively stepped up in recent weeks but why is he talking about Alfie May in his post match? Very strange...

  • Great performance and all the players currently showing there worth and place in the squad.
NJ has had a bumpy ride but you can see he is in this for the long haul, and is creating a club we can be proud of again.
The only thing that worried me yesterday was the fact we didn’t have KA on the bench left our midfield options non existent basically. Really hope this doesn’t come back to bite us, although I think it inevitably will.
Can’t wait for Tuesday though, Peterborough are having a terrible season, and are positioned in the league where I thought we would be after that Crawley game 😂

Odd the highlights did not show smalls 1 on 1 chance with the keeper that he hit tamely at the keeper. Might have been easier chance than both goals.
  • Embedded in the sea of freebies by us in the East were 3 groups of European blokes on tourist trips, must be 30 in total of the three groups. All arrived around 10 mins late, all went out back before 40 mins, all late back 2nd half (63 mins one group of 12), all left well before the end.

all that effort and miss both goals in a 2-0 win. Every single one of them 🤷‍♂️
But they had a good drink!

Agree. Always interesting when you hear how a neutral sees things. When we went 2-0 up he said something like, ‘That’s game over for me. I can’t see Stevenage scoring’. Imagine a Charlton fan saying that.
Also there’s a section on there that really shows us peppering their goal in the second half. Good stuff.
  • Actually quite like the cut of his jib, when we sack Jones after the next bad run of form we should hire him.
