follett said:I really like Kanu and think he is a great option off the bench or even starting. His performance against Birmingham is one of the best from anyone all season. That being said, Jones keeps favouring Hylton over him so it's probably worth him going out on loan to League Two, getting the goals and coming back nice and confident.
As Kanu took his goal well at the covered end recently the only reason he wasn't in the 18 since the Northampton game was he had the cold bug doing the rounds. I believe he could have been on the bench for WW but NJ kept with the winning squad.
I feel gutted for Kanu if he not involved since we have started to be more solid at the back and using width.
As Godden said Kanu is the best at closing down and he will score goals in this mediocre division if we create the chances.3 -

Should be loads May's fee left. (Unless it was spent on Ahadme.)
£870k for Adhadme was the figure I heard. No idea how much of that was upfront.
CM reported at Bromley IIRC £1.2m spent in the summer which included the May money.3 -
RB is fine but makes sense for it to be a loan surely as Ramsey is solid and Watson is a decent back up when both fit5

The thought of Mays money being spent on Gas send a shiver down my spine!4

That doesn't leave anything left for Godden and Dixon though.0 -

"Charlton have had their right-sided options depleted with Ramsay and Tennai Watson both injured.“It is one position that we have had injuries in, the one position we haven’t had cover in and the one position we have been compromised in,” said Jones. “It’s glaringly obvious."

Someone on here mentioned local lad Nathan Baxter recently (as a possible goalkeeper target).
He’s unexpectedly been dropped today despite starting most games for Bolton this season & only conceding one goal in the last 3 games.
Out of contract in June so could be on the way (somewhere!)5 -
Got to say with Peterborough’s league position and form, there are a number of players who are out of contract in the summer that I’d love for us to have a go at signing. They’ve got a really young squad but a number of talented players.17

Agreed, definitely a couple worth looking at.0

Crowley playing for Notts today against Walsall, I think it was him that played the pass for Notts to take the lead.0

I read this today "The January transfer window for English clubs closes on Monday, 3 February at 23:00 GMT".
So as if the window isn't distracting enough, we're now going 3 days into February with it. Any idea why it can't just end at midnight on 31 January?4 -

Malik Mothersille another very decent winger. 7 goals and 4 assists. Meant to be very sulky though and been compared to have an attitude similar to Marcus Maddison from some of their fans. Not sure if he'd fit in here.
Ricky-Jade Jones is the most interesting for me. Think he could be a real project and we don't have any strikers atm with his gifted pace. Closest is probably TC but I always see him more as a winger.
Those are all out of contract in the summer.
Archie Collins is another one who would be a good pick up for most teams in this league. He has a year and a half left though.
As usual, you can look at Peterborough and spot out 3 or so very decent players.3 -
Poku would be an awesome signing. When he was playing earlier in the season Peterborough looked top 6 material. He has a similar impact for them as Lloyd Jones does for us.
Expect he could get a championship club but if he is out of contract in the summer we should definitely enquire. They were willing to sell us JCH last Jan rather than let him go for nothing 6 months later.0 -
No one from Pboro will come cheap though. Logic would dictate it makes sense for them to sell but DMac is incredibly stubborn. Their fans aren’t very happy with him or how things are going3

No chance could we even hope to sign Poku this month!! - His next destination will be to a Championship club, maybe if we get there at the end of the season, and he's still at Peterborough, not now
