Yeah I think Wrexham have sold about 2k so far for what is probably one of the biggest and best away days since their owners have taken over, so whilst that'll help not sure it can be put down to that.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

I don’t get the Wrexham love in . They have a good record at home sure but their squad is ageing .Three ex Addicks , two who didn’t particularly impress while with us . I’ve seen them twice on the box this season and their best player by far has been their keeper Arthur Okonkwo.addick19 said:

Just shows that fomo (fear of missing out) and advertising are powerful tools. A lot of people have taken an interest in Wrexham, and I suspect a lot of these tickets being sold will be neutrals saying to friends that they're going to watch the Wrexham game, rather than the Charlton game.AFKABartram said:

It's very sobering seeing us appear like the B side to Wrexham. More or less all my mates (not many mind) have referred to this as a big game for us.
The good news is, if we stuff them, it will draw a lot of positive attention to us. The downside of course, is if we are on the wrong end of said stuffing.2 -
Football aside the other "worry" (too strong a word really) is that despite attempts to fix it the matchday experience is still sub optimal. The concourses will be packed, loos will probably be grim and the kiosks won't cope with demand. None of that would make me go "I can't wait to go back to that" if I was a neutralBraziliance said:

The interest Wrexham bring can’t be underestimated. As an example I was abroad on holiday in June and as it was the Euros got chatting to some Americans about football. They knew nothing apart from what they had seen on Wrexham, they hadn’t heard of Man United, Liverpool or Man City but only knew football through Wrexham. Also as soon as the fixtures were out fans of other clubs I knew were asking about coming to watch Wrexham. I am not sure how Charlton have sold tickets in home areas but they will undoubtedly be many fans bringing friends, lapsed supporters and football tourists.1 -

This thread has proper made me laugh, Wrexham was always ging to generate the most interest this season, even with what Bormingham have spent this was always going to generate the biggest crowd, it is the away game that most people want to go to and we will take very big numbers even people going without tickets. I have no problem with the crowd whoever they are, but be mindful if there are Wrexham fans in the home area albeit neutrals taking a interest it won't end well.
