Welcome Will. I hope it is a really good move for you and for us all.2

To call it a positive tingle though....think I'll reserve judgement that until I see Will in the flesh
At my advanced age, one has to use such precious feelings sparingly ( as the late Queen probably told Phil !)3 -

Summer 2022 - Jojo Wollacott joins on a 3 year deal and leaves after 1 year
March 2023 - Ashley Maynard-Brewer signs a 3 year contract, and seems unwanted after 1 year
Summer 2023 - Harry Isted joins on a 2 year deal, and seems unwanted after 1 year
Golfie's cynicism in this case is well founded...

Despite evidence to the contrary, I still have belief in AMB and hope he will be loaned out for a season to a League 2 club where he can gain confidence behind a half decent defence. at the end of that hopefully he will have proven his ability and developed.2

Has looked very assured so far. Building a good understanding with the centre backs, I think they like playing in front of him.11
-
Faultless so far, can't think of one single moment of concern yet.3
-
I can’t recall him being tested in either game but yeah, so far, so good.2
-
Doesn't matter who's in goal with this defence so far, they have barely anything to do5
-
Sounds like he’s had a tough time off the pitch so even more credit to him for not looking shakey at all.

He looks assured and good. The calls he has made for crosses, coming off his line to collect through ball/punts, aswell as his throwing and kicking have all been spot on.
A bit niave to say he has had nothing to do, imo.8 -

Contrast to AMB in particular who seemed to strike absolute confusion into his own CBs with his decision making 'process' (if he even had one.)5 -
Looks confident coming for the ball. Distribution seems pretty average.0
-
as a unit he and the back 5 have been excellent, however I do think he can be a bit quicker releasing the ball for counters etc, but guess that comes with time and cohesion within the team

Seems to me, we need a No3 keeper not a No1. Perhaps Brownie can come out of retirement.
Both U21s and U18s have only one stopper.

I don't really think I can tell what Mannion is like, he hasn't really been tested enough to know just yet.
I would love him to be the reason we get 5 or 6 extra points this season.0 -
He looks the part. He’s big, calm, good with his feet, and decent distribution. I like him.1
-
We haven't seen him tested properly yet, and with the back 5 and our pack mentality defending, he may not face many shots.
Have to say though, he looks very calm. Always though the last few keepers didn't seem sure of themselves, Mannion looks like he's been here a while. Not too bothered about a keeper as much now tbh, could be wrong, but think he will be sound.1 -
I know he's not really been tested yet but so far he really looks the part and I've taken to him.
He's big, takes crosses, saves shots confidently and looks calm. Definitely deserves to stay in the team at present even if we sign a more experienced (or so-say better) keeper and it would be totally unfair on his performances so far if he was dropped for a new keeper.7 -
A huge part of the reason he hasn’t been tested is the back 3 have confidence in him so step out more meaning that less changes are created. Don’t think a no1 will be a priority anymore

No panic decisions from the backline... Leave the settled defence well alone.
Charlton's No.1!!2 -
He really hasn’t had a save to make yet, but he hasn’t put a foot wrong. Don’t think you can judge him on what you seen so far.0
-
Still no idea how good he is, the defence are doing such a good job of making sure he has very little to do. Decent save from a turn and shot by Charles first half, although still fairly routine, but bugger all of note to do after that.Long may it continue!1
