I don’t think he’s qualified to be part of the relay team sadlyRaith_C_Chattonell said:Hudson-Smith was one of the stars yesterday, but I was impressed with the GB National 400 Metre race too.
Samuel Reardon looked particularly good in winning - improving his PB by over a second. The makings of a good 400 metre relay team.

That'll learn him! used to be the party piece of Tom Mckean I seem to remember back in the day.DaveMehmet said:1 -
I didn't realise Hinchliffe went sub 10 again yesterday, I stopped watching him right at the start as he was so bad out of the blocks. definitely has a good chance of reaching the final in Paris2

Have we got anyone who can threaten in the field events ?0

2) injury .
no way a sprinter eases up that early.
Got to love Charlton Life sometimes.0 -

I'd never heard of him until a few days ago. Watched him yesterday and he seemed a bit all over the place in terms of his start and his technique and he just didn't look like a sprinter - but he still ran under 10 seconds. Imagine what he'll be like once he gets rid of the rough edges?rina said:I didn't realise Hinchliffe went sub 10 again yesterday, I stopped watching him right at the start as he was so bad out of the blocks. definitely has a good chance of reaching the final in Paris0 -

George Mills (Danny Mills' son) broke the UK indoor championships record for 3000m on Sunday. Guess who had a ticket for the sprinting on the Saturday but not for the Sunday...

George Mills second in the European indoor 3000m today, behind that bionic Norwegian bloke. Mills does look like his dad, IMHO, including looking like he's about 50 when he's actually 25.Swindon_Addick said:George Mills (Danny Mills' son) broke the UK indoor championships record for 3000m on Sunday. It was a very good run from Mills but he was always racing for second place this weekend. Great competition for the Dutch (and the Irish) but a bit underwhelming for the Brits overall.Swindon_Addick said:

Missing some big hitters from the team such as Hodgkinson and Josh Kerr tbf, and others such as O'Dowda and Robertson exceeded expectations, but it still seems that we are desperately short of international quality in some areas such as the throws, some jumps and in particular men's multi-eventing. Not sure what the problem is as we consistently produce world class triathletes, but can't seem to translate that dominance onto (male) track & field multi-eventers.0 -
Gold in the World Indoors as Jeremiah Azu wins the 60m. Some more contenders to come in events over the weekend, too.

A second gold at the World Indoors - Amber Anning in the women's 400m.

George Mills at it again - took six and a half seconds off the UK record for 5000m while finishing fourth in the Diamond League event in Oslo this week.

In case anyone fancies catching a session of the European champs next year, they're Monday 10 to Sunday 16 August 2026, at the big athletics stadium in Birmingham. The usual format with the evening sessions being mainly finals with a few heats and the mornings being heats-only (but that does include some events of the Decathlon and Heptathlon finals). Tickets go on sale for a couple of weeks to those with a previous purchase history or people who sign up this week, then go on general sale in September, so if you're definitely keen it's worth signing up now.
Apologies for stating the obvious but it's early in next season so think long and hard before signing up for anything that might clash with a likely football night. Then again, the cheapest morning session tickets are £10 so maybe I'll risk having to bin the ticket if we've got Liverpool at home...1 -

The morning session will be perfect if we have Villa away that evening.
