Would expect an announcement tomorrow as the last second interview was this morning .. that would give them the last day of the window if they wanted a couple in ..0

How can one day of the window be enough to pull everything together to get someone in ? If they weren’t already identified, offered or in the pipeline I just don’t see how a new target could possibly be acquired.RonnieMoore said:Would expect an announcement tomorrow as the last second interview was this morning .. that would give them the last day of the window if they wanted a couple in ..1 -

I still think Stacey Solomon could do a job. This squad could do with some declutterring.5

Sticking a sneaky quid on Madeley.5

I could work under Stacey Solomon7

The board don’t all agree on Jones, so maybe not as close as some think5

            Appointment by committee. Great.
We will be in League 2 before this lot make their mind up.8 -

Not really a surprise when one would imagine jones would want control whereas Scott won’t allow that otherwise he’s out of a job so probably advising not to proceedDubaiCAFC said:The board don’t all agree on Jones, so maybe not as close as some think16 -

Is it because he doesn’t wear red chinos?DubaiCAFC said:The board don’t all agree on Jones, so maybe not as close as some think

More likely that Jones walked into the interview with two pencils up his nose and underpants on his head.000__Jaaaaay__000 said:

Not to say it won’t be Jones, still a good chance, but there is someone else who they want to interview8

I would have thought that if these have their heads screwed on then the potential new managers wanting specific signings or signings of a certain profile would have come up during talks. Nothing to stop us from approaching clubs, sounding out what a fee might be and starting a dialogue with the player's representative in advance. Say Jones wants Northampton's right back, you can get a ways down the line with negotiations and pull the plug if you don't get Jones or use the final day to complete the signing if you do. I doubt that's been happening thoughShootersHillGuru said:

Stacey Solomon would get us well organised.carly burn said:Certainly hotting up.
Vernon Kay is good at playing away.
Richard Madeley might be able to steal the odd win.6 -

Do you know what reservations the board have about Jones?DubaiCAFC said:

If Scott's decisions are no longer being sanctioned without scrutiny, he can't be surprised but must feel undermined3
 -

Can you clarify this? You're saying you've heard Jones is Scott's choice? Or the opposite?DubaiCAFC said:

Yeah let’s just piss about deciding who we want, not like we’re in a relegation battle or anything.18

Another one of their mates no doubt. Amazing how they can’t agree on Nathan Jones, a manager who has genuine pedigree at our level and whose last job was in the Premier League, but could agree that Michael Appleton was the man to lead us to glory.DubaiCAFC said:Not to say it won’t be Jones, still a good chance, but there is someone else who they want to interview23
