Don't panic people.
There's still 2 months, 2 weeks, 2 days left of the window for us to make some signings........10 -
Yep there must still be some out of contract players knocking around with no pre season. Watch this space.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Don't panic people.

Just to be clear, not once have I posted that I believe we are close to and in danger of breaking FFP rules. In fact I've posted the opposite, but I don't have evidence to back it up.

Looking forward to Andy Scott's photo of a mountain of crisps, choclate and cans of soft drinks tomorrow.11

I can see it now.
11.01pm tomorrow night. The club is still without a manager.
A random youngster no one has heard of and a Matt Smith have arrived on loan.
Pretty much everyone has now written the season off. Golfie has lost the plot and thrown his season ticket in the bin.
Ronnie Moore is trying to claim this lot have money to spend, it's not the SMT's fault that no one wanted to join, and we'll see their real intentions in the January window.

Relax, once it slams shut we can move on to the free agents list of utter junk who need 6 months to get fitChris_from_Sidcup said:Don't panic people.

Allowing the squad to be uncompetitive also affects the other element of FFP, namely, turnover. If the season’s a write off after 10 games (or less), attendances will obviously reflect that. The club’s income and profile will continue to shrink.

We not .. the deal for the Cardiff striker is in place with loan fee , the player wants to come but Cardiff won’t let him go until they brought in a striker .. we might go after the Man City striker we can’t risk not getting anyone inthenewbie said:
Surely there is no conceivable way we could make it to 48 hours before end of the window with ONE fit senior striker?paulsturgess said:Surely there is no conceivable way we can end the window without signing a right back?
You'd like to think so wouldn't you. But this is Charlton where the clowns run the circus.

We need at least 3 (and more realistically 4-5) signings in the next 2 days.RonnieMoore said:

If we were to sign only a couple, what would your thoughts be on this window?0 -

I think we want Etete as first choice but Cardiff won’t say yes until they get a replacement which is risky for us if they don’t. Tedic can come in but we’re holding fire because of Etete. At some point we’ll need to make a decision or risk losing out on both. My guess is we’ll blink first and opt for Tedic which is a shame because Etete is for me a better option. Such is Charlton Life.9

I think Tedic was first choice as he was "definitely" signing last week.ShootersHillGuru said:I think we want Etete as first choice but Cardiff won’t say yes until they get a replacement which is risky for us if they don’t. Where things are now I don't know.
More importantly and more worryingly, I'm not sure the club know either.5 -
I’m not sure that’s correct Henry.Henry Irving said:

I think the moderators allow Ronnie to post just for shits and giggles3

The more he posts the more people read it, lol his posts and reply to them. Drives site traffic up which helps the ads get seen more so costs to run the site are marginally helped out. Win winsupaclive said:I think the moderators allow Ronnie to post just for shits and giggles4 -
I wonder if Etete only became potentially available at the end of last week and that’s why we held fire on TedicHenry Irving said:

I didn't think Golfie had a season ticket this year?2 -
I assume I am not the only one believing that as at 31 August our season is effectively over. Not anticipating feeling any different after the window closes. I find it’s the only way to handle the inevitable disappointment.7

He didn’t but wish I’d bought one so I could throw it at the dugout later in the season if we’re languishing in mid table again or worse 😈.Sage said:

Appleton loves it and always plays a strong side. He has taken Oxford to Wembley twice via that competition.1
