Bavuma strikerate of 100 costing them again0
-
Playing in Hobart in October is like playing a World Cup match in April or May in Durham0
-
Sri Lanka finish on 157-6 against Australia.
The pitch had a lot of pace and bounce and at times the Sri Lankan batsman struggled to lay bat on ball as evidenced by the fact that there were 50 dot balls. All, however, doesn't look well in the Aussie camp. The defeat to NZ certainly wouldn't have helped and there was a noticeable amount of arm throwing. 23 extras won't have helped Finch's demeanour either.0 -
Finch really struggling to cope with the pace and bounce of this track. So far he is 4* off 15 balls in the Power Play
26-0 off 40 -
And as always happens in such situations the batsman gets out at the other end. Warner out for 11 (10)0

Come on SL!
Would love to see us piling the pressure on Australia on Friday and them being P3 L30 -
0 boundaries in a powerplay at T20 World Cup:
PAK vs WI, Dhaka, 2014
PNG vs BAN, Al Amerat, 2021
AUS vs SL, Perth, Today

Finch 23 off 33
Maxwell 22 off 6
They must be playing on different tracks!!!0 -
Oh Lordy that does not look good for Maxwell0
-
Finch is more worried whether Maxwell being hit in the throat is "two over shoulder height for the over"!!!0

SL have now dropped Marsh and Finch - the second drop might not harm them too much given how Finch is batting0
-
And then they take the "big show". And that is a big wicket.0
-
Brilliant from Stoinis0
-
Stoinis 47* in a 50 partnership with Finch (3*)
Stoinis then completes the fastest T20 50 for Australia and the equal 2nd fastest in T20 WC history- 53 off 17

Australia win by 7 wickets with 3.2 overs to spare
I can safely say that I have never seen a worse innings from a top class opening batsman in a T20. Finch finishes on 31 off 42 balls out of a total of 158-3 and if it wasn't for Maxwell and Stoinis the Aussies would have lost.0 -
Hasaranga went for 0-53 off 3 overs. He'd never ever conceded 50 in a T20 in 4 overs let alone 30
-
Ireland off to a decent start although riding their luck at time. Wood looking particularly dangerous and taking the wicket of Sterling caught at third man by Curran as well as now hitting Balburnie on the finger.
37-1 off 4.1

59-1 off 60
-
74-1 off 9 overs.0

This is really poor bowling from Woakes - bowling far too legside and had figures of 0-41 off 3 to date
92-1 off 10. An excellent platform for Ireland.0 - Sponsored links:
-
The worst way to get out - Adil Rashid deflects a drive from Balburnie onto the stumps and Tucker is out of his ground
103-2 off 120 -
Wood strikes again and gets the new batsman, Tector, caught behind off a ball at 95mph. Serious pace.0
-
Wood then hits Campher in the grill0
-
Excellent 50 for Balburnie
116-3 off 14. Ireland have to be looking for 165 plus now0 -
Balburnie out for 62 off 47 - caught Hales bowled Livingstone
132-4 off 15.30 -
Livingstone is on a hat trick - bowls Dockrell first ball with a quicker one0
-
Wood, having been ramped, gets a soft dismissal with a drag down. Campher gone for 18 off 11
138-6 off 16.30 -
Wood hits Delaney on the head - his third "victim" to go with his 3-34
144-6 off 170 -
Livingstone gets his third wicket - another one, this time Adair, caught by Curran. Now has figures of 3-0-17-0
150-7 off 180 -
Missed the first few overs. Is Stokes injured? He's only bowled 2 overs.0
