Hopefully they'll be plenty of other chances for Emma Raducanu.
  • The limitations of Raducanu's game exposed once again.

Yes agree doesn’t have a big enough game, not currently.

Expectations are far too high at present from the crowd and the media.

Exactly this, she's a 19 year old playing one of her first professional games on grass, think she's had less than 10.

Playing a former World no 4 who was in very good form today.

It's understandable gone the US Open I guess but definitely expectations being too high.  Andy Murray for example was only reaching the second week in the odd grand slam at 19, he was out in as many 1st rounds as 4th too.

Needs to get her coaching position right and she'll have better runs at Wimbledon in the future.

Garcia is a very experienced player and Emma's lack of preparation on grass this year and the lack of matches really showed today.
Raducanu is a very gutsy player but Garcia had too much nous today and the French Doubles Champion hits the ball very hard and the lack of depth from many of Emma's shots meant she was always up against it.

Norrie leads the fifth set 5-2. Munar about to serve to stay in the match.

    Norrie wins it 6-2!

    6-3 4-6 5-7 6-0 6-2

Munar played surprisingly well and Norrie did well to get through in the end.

Norrie's third round opponent will be Steve Johnson who beat Ryan Peniston earlier in the day.

Whatever the reasons for it she needs to play matches and grow into the tour, expectations don’t define your playing style and at the moment hers is lacking.
Murray is a good example it wasn’t until he got much fitter and stronger that he fulfilled his potential.

Murray playing a big serving American on Centre Court must bring back memories of 2017...

Don't want to speak too soon but the draw has really opened up for Norrie here.

With Ruud (#3), Hurkacz (#7) and Carreno Busta (#16) all already out in his quarter, the highest seed he'd have to face before a potential semi final is #23 Frances Tiafoe.

John Isner is 8-0 down against Murray.
He has come out to beat up Andy today and he is charging the net on every opportunity.
When a 6ft 10in player is aggressive you know it.
Andy needs to slay the giant.

Isner doesn’t seem particularly fit, if Murray can take the second set I think Isner may fade
