I am Arsenal bias, penalty was clear. Two idiots ruined the game for Arsenal before both they were on top and started the better team, Cedric mistiming and holding playing like a lunatic on a mission. Proper killed the game too, it was shaping up to be a decent game too.

There is part of me thinking the penalty was a tad harsh as you don't see them given normally, but it was just a massive mistake from Cedric and can't argue once it was given. Holding having a bit 3 bad challenges before he got the yellow then proceeds to elbow, whether they came onto him or not when your elbow is that high its going to be given.

Spurs have the momentum and Arsenal lost Gabriel which could be key with potentially a couple of tricky games left, hopefully they can still win them but looks tougher than it could.

Cedric made no attempt to play the ball (in fact i don't think he was even looking at the ball) and pushed Son. Anywhere else on the pitch it's a free kick so i don't see why some people are surprised a penalty was given.

Arteta - "I am not unhappy with my players. I am proud of my players. I want the referee to come in front of the camera and explain his decisions".

If you're not unhappy that your full back pushed Son in the area and your centre back already on a yellow elbows Son, then what else can be said? I don't think i'd be 'proud of my players' for that but maybe he just doesn't want to throw them under the bus and will bollock them in private.

Tough one, Son probably shades it as been consistent. The others have had good spells, I'd put Cancelo next then Salah (he was unplayable for the best part of the season, should be in the running for the Ballon d'or imo)

He can be, also has a few quiet spells, just checked he's played 28 games this season scored 15, more than i expected although 4 this week obviously helps. I think he has stood out recently but all season its a no from me, i'd have put foden above before the last month. All about opinions of course, but i was surprised he scored as many as he has.

and lets not forget, Sonny doesn't take pens or free kicks either which makes his achievement even more remarkable with Kane in the side.

Personally think Bowen and Ward-Prowse have been absolutely outstanding for their clubs this season.

    Interesting looking at the stats...

Mason Mount - 11 goals, 10 assists in 31 PL games.
Saka - 11 goals, 6 assists in 36 PL games.

    Yet Saka makes the shortlist?

Agree, shame he was taken off last night as he might have got another goal too.

Agree Bowen/JWP have both been superb, i am surprised at Saka's inclusion he has had a good season but nothing extraordinary

I’d agree. Been consistent all season.

Difficult choice, I'd probably go Cancelo as well. Mane would certainly have been in my list, arguably Liverpool's best player above Salah & TAA.

It just seems like that because Salah's formed has dipped since AFCON, but overall Salah has been far better than Mane.

    Salah - 22 goals + 13 assists
    Mane - 15 goals + 2 assists

Life is more than just stats.

Saka is regularly doubled-up on because of how good he has been. It's why Smith-Rowe, Odegaard and others have the stats they do also.

    K De B for me…..a class above.
Don’t get it that it should ‘de facto’ automatically go to a striker. 🧐

This is s real mega important game for Spurs and Burnley. Conte is one of my favourite managers and he will take 1-0 and not over commit for 2-0.

Nick Pope is a top keeper and has kept Burnley in this game. Nice guy as well.

    Blimey...and breathe.

If the Gooners were seething over the pen on Thursday, they'll be suicidal when they see todays one.  Soft at shit.

Who is favorite to snap him up if they go down? A top six side? Or one of the also rans?
Very good keeper and shot stopper, but does he have all the “ball at his feet” attributes that the really top sides seem to covet those days?

Would be an absolute disaster, and the worst season in the history of the game.
  • Man City would win it on GD anyway. No way Liverpool win the PL.
