Huge win that for Everton. Much can still happen, but  Burnley have found their form at just the right time, so Leeds with games against Arsenal & Chelsea to come probably now favourites for the drop.

If Everton can kick on from that performance then hard to see anyone but Leeds going dowm

Mike Dean v Arsenal so put your house on West Ham winning today.
Not a dig @SELR_addicksbut you do often seem to be complaining about Arsenal getting a raw deal with refs. Not sure what you’re seeing that nobody else does. Also, not sure why you care. 😉

The dad bit answers why you care. Fair enough. 👍🏼
Not sure why you think Arsenal don’t get decisions though. They get their fair share. Without doubt.

It's a general point about consistency with referees in the league.

Often times players that are deemed 'reckless' get reds for tackles that never happen with any other player.

Arsenal having Xhaka and Luiz were punished more than others because of this.

    Fair enough @SELR_addicks
It’s a fair point about consistency, but I think supporters of any side could claim to be hard done by because fans only remember the decisions that go against them.
As for Xhaka, I think that’s just a popular myth drummed up by gooners. He’s only got himself to blame. The reason Xhaka gets booked so often is because he makes stupid decisions. He’s like Arsenal’s Alex Gilbey.
    😂

such as the 'not playing the ball/breaking up a counter' red card that has never happened before or since?  ;)

Xhaka could’ve got booked right there after 90 seconds, but didn’t. If he gets a cheap yellow later, there’s your reason.

Have a look at some of the tackles on Saka during the game if you want to talk about yellows.

Ah, but we’re talking about Xhaka!
Any team can talk about how their most skillful player isn’t protected enough.

Because the lino gave a decision that VAR would have upheld?  ;)

Fortunate, then, that their chairman sees no need for any change in wealth distribution between the Prem and other divisions.

West Ham say goodbye to their very slim chance of making top 4 with that.

Seems like second half of the season they've had a bit of a dip in form once the Europa League started getting a bit more serious.

Arsenal grind a win without their starting striker, left-back, central midfielder and centre back. Jackson take some notes.
  • Bloody Southampton bottlers yesterday at one up v Palace.  Would have been nice to see Palace getting a bit sweaty near the bottom with Burnley and Everton both winning.

It seems that we have offended the footballing Gods in some way!

What a thoroughly miserable period of time to be an Addick.

He's looking a ban for this surely?

Pretty sure it's a specific offence under football disorder law too. Squidgy pigs are exempted btw.

He'll probably get a fine but banning him seems a bit harsh

Wow, he's upright and not laying on the floor holding his ankle...or his calf...

So frustrating watching him, he could be very very good but christ he goes down so easily.

His diving's rubbing off on the young lad up front for them too. Senior pro's used to keep the kids in line on that sort of thing, not give lessons.

You mean Gordon, defenders only have to look at him and over he goes.

That's him. Clearly talented but jeez he needs to knock the diving on the head ASAP or his reputation will start preceeding him.

I thought throwing one of these at a stadium got you a football/stadium ban for 2-3 years.  Why would that be different for a player v a fan?

Richarlison is only 24 to be fair. I’d have thought someone like Big Dunc would have sorted it out a bit

I'm suprised at that but he's still been a pro' for many years longer than Gordon has and he's not a kid himself at 24. In that case Coleman or Delph should be giving him a whack in training then.

If Big Dunc sorts him out he might not be able to play football again.

Man Utd if they drop points today are out of the top 4 race.
