Should have left him there and had the players pelt the ball at him. No danger of him being hit going on the quality of this game.
In truth though if this is going to be a regular occurrence I reckon some fans will take matters into their own hands pretty quickly.1 -

Big win though, as they didn't play well at all and it gives them a bit of breathing space. Their game away at Burnley in a couple of weeks is huge.1

That is exactly why the whole “raise your flag when the play has broken down” thing is an absolute nonsense. Bamford after being out for so long, gets injured because the Lino’s flag only went up when the keeper had cleared the ball. Flag goes up straight away he doesn’t get injured.0

Never a red for Gimenez. Not even close. The crazy thing is if the ref gives a straight red it can be VAR checked. But not for a second yellow. Madness0

Game turned on the red card. Wasn't even a foul let alone a yellow card. Keeper runs 30 yards out of his goal, clears the ball & clatters into the on-rushing player.....and the attacker gets penalised. WTF ?
Ref was weak. Very weak. Should have booked half a dozen of the Leeds players for jumping into the fans when they got the equaliser. And when the winner went in he should have booked the subs for coming onto the field of play.
But its Leads so they can get away with it.1 -
That sending off is a joke of a decision1
