Ronaldo is an absolute legend isn't he. Under quite a lot of pressure pre-game. Scores a worldie and now looking for a hat-trick.
There may have been one or two better players when on top of their game but the way he does it season after season at the top level makes him the GOAT in my eyes.
Fred has had a quality game in the middle today. Playing that bit further forward (more like a number 8) suits him. His link up play with Ronaldo in the first half was excellent.
Seem to remember Xhaka vs Bernardo Silva was a carbon copy of this incident.
One given, one isn't.
If it’s anywhere else on the pitch it would definitely be a free kick. I have no idea why referees think there’s a different threshold for fouls in the box, there isn’t.

They seem to have this bizarre reason that its because they'll end up giving away three / four penalties per game which'll dilute the Sport - Its a pathetic reason, as it would stop happening in a game or two if that was the case.
Bit like the last World Cup... There were endless penalties given for those fouls
By the time the KO rounds came round, hardly any penalties had to be given... Funny that

You say this but those fouls are given when it's another team playing.
I would understand more if NONE are given, but when one incident is and one isn't. Where is the consistency?
Has Arteta finally sorted out the mess at Arsenal? Defensively look much better and players like Odeengard have definitely improved them. Be interesting to see who they buy in the summer.
The fact that Arsenal haven’t conceded from a corner this season tells us how much more organised they are as well as being a crazy stat at this time of the season.
Arteta also seems to have been able to get Xhaka and Party to be a solid midfield partnership.
Wednesday against Liverpool for them, should be a good game.

Odegaard has looked a great signing, so much of their play goes through him.

Ramsdale and White have turned into excellent signings despite their price tags.
Arsenal just need a modern striker to replace Lacazette. A decent midfielder to partner Partey and they'll be in the top 3/4 conversation every season.
The problem comes when Liverpool/Man City start to hover around players like Saka with £100m.
Liverpool are so clinical… such a good side. The fact they aren’t currently top shows how good Man City are.
Watching TAA makes me want England to find a way to play him at RWB
Agree with this completely, so good for Liverpool. Although i think VVD and having players that cover him are probably the key. TAA is better for club, Reece James works for England.

someone glued themselves to the post at Arsenal v Liverpool yesterday but they weren’t as successful.
8 minute stoppage tonight.
