I also think that this rumour has also since been confirmed.Rothko said:

Shame, the Castore kits look crap.4
-
They might look crap and are expensive, but I bet they are able to get stock to clubs for fans to buy.charlton_hero said:Shame, the Castore kits look crap.0 -
Castore kits are rubbish judging by what I have seen/felt from them, Hummel have been the best kits we've had in the 21st Century IMO9
-
I believe Castore are looking to grow into football in a big way a bit like Hummel and their resurgence in the last few years.
with Thomas being Danish I’m surprised we would be leaving Hummel but it might just be about money0 -
Not happy if we go with Castore, their kits look awful.0
-
When we were up watching Gateshead I went in the St. James Park Castore store. Quality seemed to be exactly the same as nearly every kit maker to me. I always think Adidas kits are the best made.0

Do not think this was down to Thomas and I also know that Hummel were keen to keep us within their portfolio.Swisdom said:I believe Castore are looking to grow into football in a big way a bit like Hummel and their resurgence in the last few years.

Inclined to agree about adidas, the newish Nike kits have awful quality and seem like cheap copies in terms of quality of stitching etc.Pelling1993 said:When we were up watching Gateshead I went in the St. James Park Castore store. Shame if we leave Hummel as i do appreciate the ‘tailored’ parts of our kits so that they are not out of a catalogue, but maybe this is part of the plan to bring the shop in-house rather than fully outsourced to a supplier.1 -
Apart from Rangers (whose kits aren't bad) and Newcastle (you can't do much with black and white stripes) what other clubs do they make kits for?sam3110 said:Castore kits are rubbish judging by what I have seen/felt from them, Hummel have been the best kits we've had in the 21st Century IMO0 -

Castore are still relatively small, so our kits should be fairly bespokeallez les addicks said:

Interestingly both the England and Kent cricket teams will be wearing Castore this summer too, so that's 2 elite teams they've taken on (plus England)3 -
I was in the pub earlier and the cricket was on the tv, South Africa were wearing castore against Indiakillerandflash said:

like this is the kind of rank bollocks I hope we don't get lumped with.
Also the Rangers, Wolves and Newcastle home shirts are both boring and cheap looking.
Hummel's kits, not just for us but across their portfolio, have been great by and large for the past few seasons, and the patterns, colours and graphical elements have almost always been bespoke to each team5 -
The current Hummel kits aren't great, the home kit is the worst of the bunch they've made. And I'm seeing people moaning about third kits, I care more than a design that respects the traditions of the home kit, and at least acknowledge history with the away kit.0

just as minging as the purple adidas number from the 90's its based onsam3110 said:

Anyway this is shirt perfection for me, so I really want us to stay with Hummel

One of the greatest shirts ever produced by Hummel0
-
I bought a couple of Castore training/gymwear bits a few months back. Not had any problems with the quality, I like them in fact.
IF they are to be our kit suppliers next season, the design might be considered ‘bland’ by some quarters but as long as it’s predominantly red with some white detailing, I am happy.
Looking forward to seeing what they have to offer IF the rumour is true.2 -

Would imagine any move to go with Castore also enables us to take control of the club shop more thoroughly!
I know that it’s been mooted as something Mumford has wanted for a while1 -
Anfy Murray is another of their Clients, they're certainly a growing brand.0

I have to agree, the quality is piss poor. Stitching comes apart very quickly, I know this because the kit man told me.0 -
Pretty sure Murray is a part ownerForeverAddickted said:Anfy Murray is another of their Clients, they're certainly a growing brand.
Will judge them on the kits but the logo is shocking2 -

Think he was their first Sports signing - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castore_(brand)

Quite looking forward to seeing what they have to offer. Would love to see some garish keeper shirts but won't be holding my breath.0
-
Know their market as well, the Rangers shirt goes up to 4xl.3
-
Castore make nice fashion and training gear but I’ve been underwhelmed by the football kits.
The logo just doesn’t suit a football shirt - it’s looks like a 2nd badge.
they are also pretty expensive especially for the normal working class fan.1 -
I really like Castore stuff2
-
Apologies, bespoke was the wrong word but what i think Hummel’s main strength has been, and which in don’t see other brands doing, is that their shirts have contained elements specific to us, such as the sword embossing last year, the ‘back to the valley’ embossing on their first shirt etc.killerandflash said:

They’ve also taken respectful inspiration from old shirts (though admittedly others are also doing that). E.g. the Championship away with the green bands or last year’s gray away shirt. Castore will have a long way to go to meet those two kits1
