I've seen the night stalker on Netflix, is this the same story just different interpretation? I will definitely get round to watching it0

Manhunt Nightstalker is based on the detective's own book and probably as good a police procedural drama you will see. Professional clashes, mountains of paperwork and computer read outs, hours of boredom and missed opportunities. Martin Clunes plays it very well as the mild mannered but determined police officer.
The first meeting of Clunes and the stalker is supposedly true, but utterly bizarre. Let's have a chat about cricket!
Being pedantic, the only thing that jars (and was probably the fault of the media at the time) but there is a continual referral of crimes committed in SE London. Apart from the police team being based being at Lewisham nick, the bulk of the crimes appeared to have occurred in Palace country off the A23. I would call that south London.

Binged the Night Stalker with the missus last night...well we got to episode 3 of 4. Really really enjoying it. Clunes is great.
I'm not sure I have too many recollections of the actual case. I do recall reports of a man shining a torch in elderly people's eyes at night though.1 -

You had the one armed white woman, black lesbians and then the two main white characters who had never shown any interest in each other looking like they are madly in love, out of nowhere. Plus the deaf girl story.
Oh and the plot was pretty crap and boring and was almost side lined by the personal stories they were cramming in for the sake of it.
Vigil also managed to cram in a lesbian relationship which was very boring and appeared to be there purely for the sake of it.3 -

Midnight Mass on Netflix - binged watched over two days . Very enjoyable3

Just finished series 2 of Black Summer.
As a big fan of Z Nation, made by the same team, it couldn't be more different but I still enjoyed it. Completely different in tone, and devoid of any of the humour of Z Nation, it's as bleak as you like. I always like a show that kills off a character quite early on that you think is going to become a mainstay.
Probably much more realistic in terms of the "everyone for themselves" nature of humans that we're seeing signs of played out in real life.
Solid 6/10.1 -

1st episode of Ridley Road on BBC1 last night.
Watched & enjoyed it so found the other3 on iplayer & stayed up until 1.15am to finish off the series.
Thought it was excellent with some very good acting performances by the cast too.2
