Bowyer progress at Birmingham

This game is more dirty than Poland v England.
The refs being more lenient is already plain in many games this season.1 -
2-0, Birmingham up to 4th having played a game more than others around them.1

He's standing in the touchline in his red v-neck jumper.0 -
he’s done well, no doubt about that - good move for him and us as it had gone pears with us3

Birmingham look a good side , Lee’s got them ticking1

Funny seeing him in his Charlton jumper.
It all went so weird in the end but he looks happy and is speaking with enthusiasm again.

Thought Birmingham looked workmanlike but that’s what Bow does.
It’s a shame, like Powell, when we got up neither got the investment they needed to really push on because I think both could have got us close.
Hopefully Adkins is afforded that possibility now the club is in safe hands.10 -

I thought Brum were odds on for relegation last season.
The way he's turned them around is remarkable.3 -
I don’t think it’ll last.7

Just suggesting that Bowyer as a person fits even better with more "blue collar" clubs like Leeds and Birmingham than us.0 -

If he keeps Birmingham near the top at the end of the season that would be some achievement but I'm sure they will fade.0

Their fans aren't happy with the owners.0 -
It’ll be interesting to compare our injury record with Birmingham’s this season.3

He lost it at the end with us under a sensible owner but was a success under crooks, deluded pensioners and more crooks. It didn’t add up
im glad he left us but still want him to be successful2 -

Birmingham are still a mess off the field, with sections of the ground closed at the moment due to safety concerns (the porn barons built parts of their new stands in the 90s on the cheap!)3 -

On a particularly bad run at the minute. One goal scored in five, 12 conceded.
L 1-4, Fulham (H)
L 3-0, Peterborough (A)
D 0-0, Preston (H)
L 2-0, QPR (A)
L 0-3, Forest (H)2 -
Bubble well and truly burst. Will be interesting to see how he handles it.5

King of firing up a team. He's got that "edge". Bit like Tim Sherwood in that respect. But he gets found out. Not a great tactician and when that "edge" is mischannelled ~ blaming others, diverting criticism, sulking, losing the dressing room etc it's hometime. He was the perfect appt for saving Brum from relegation. But I don't see him building a squad capable of promotion. He is on a poor run atm. And they are leaking a lot. I reckon the owners will give him the whole season after his good end to last season but if they have any knowledge they will give him until Christmas if he hasn't arrested the slide.7

I have no loyalty to Bowyer, he didn't really show us any, despite what he says, and it is of course twice he has left us now but....
I see this slide down the table more about birmingham than him. They don't really invest on the playing side and are thus perennial strugglers who seem to rely on a new manager bounce each season to just about keep themselves afloat. I doubt bowyer will last the season for that reason alone but if he does it will mean he has done a good enough job for where that club find themselves at.4
