    Kane has been horrible
  • Why are we grouped with Iceland and Denmark? I thought NL groups were done according to your FIFA ranking and Iceland (notwithstanding today's scoreline) are 39th

Or is it done based on the last European Championships performance?

Foden didn’t have his best game but it’s hard to judge him with a midfield of Ward-Prowse and Rice.

It’s also a lot easier to play good football with an actual LB. Saka would’ve been a better call up than Maitland Niles

    He is clearly not fit

He hasnt even been playing in the friendlies for Tottenham.

Ridiculous that we have played him really

The positive is Joe Gomez is about the only player coming out of this with any credit. Plays forward and breaks the line really well

It’s based on promotion/relegation from the previous Nations League.

Except they ended up scrapping the relegation from a couple of years ago and upped the number of teams in a group from three to four.

    England - A
    Belgium - A
Iceland - A (relegated but reprived)
    Denmark - promoted from B

Its based on the last Nations League

Iceland and Germany had been relegated from League A but UEFA decided to increase nearly all Groups from three teams to four teams

Meant that those two stayed up, whilst Denmark got promoted from League B

Think Sterling has had a decent game, only player that’s been aggressive going forward. Ward Prowse has gone okay too.

My only problem with Sterling is why he keeps passing back inside. He’s roasted that LB every time he’s run at him.

    That’s an abysmal decision
  • Or is it justice for the earlier disallowed goal?

to be fair since we have been down to 10 men Iceland haven't once looked like trying to attack us with 10 men and scoring themselves

Thanks, a massive drop  in quality from the previous grouping with Spain and Croatia though

Iceland deserve that for sitting back against a team with 10 men and not pushing on
