First game of the nations league today for England

Imagine a few of us on this forum would have probably gone today during normal times. Had hotels and flight booked for Denmark game on Tuesday.

Hopefully, see Pope start in goal and Joe Gomez in defence. Plenty of exciting new names in the squad; Foden, Greenwood & Grealish. 

Hoping we spank them today and seek some revenge from that match in euro 2016. 

4-0 England.

    My lad and I are England travel members and had this one in the diary, I have been to Denmark before but never Iceland. 

    Huge George Cross in the away end later made up of place names England travel members come from, we are represented by Knebworth but I see Charlton is on there as well. 

    Hopeful for an impressive away win by the youngsters today, made all the sweeter by Scotland drawing 1-1 at home to Israel last night

    Foden and the front 3 could be really exciting, not sure about the rest. Hopefully Grealish gets a run out at some point too.

    Pickford is a strange one as on last seasons form you'd say he should be third choice behind Pope and Henderson

    Started really well but Iceland comfortable after 25 mins. 

    UEFA embarrassing no VAR in this.

    Awful. Horrible kit. A few in that line up who are just not international class - Rice, Ward-prowse etc and Walker as brainless as ever.

    Kyle Walker had the worst game of his career against Iceland in 2016. His limited crossing ability and lack of discipline makes him a liability.

    Southgate just plays him again. Useless.

    That’s all well and good but now Kane will play at CDM and it’ll effectively be Ings up top on his own.
