Absolutely gutted, but I will say that Barnsley got a pretty comfortable point against Wigan a week ago, Wigan are not unplayable.5

Pointless and unfair to point the finger at guys doing their best but making mistakes in games (even repeatedly) and for them not being “good enough”.
THE REAL BLAME LIES WITH THE FUCKING OWNERS - RD and the whole cast of ESL1&2 tossers, for whom this is all a self-serving game and who (at best) have simply drip fed cash when needed to keep us on life support for their own purposes.
RD made LB work with the lowest playing budget in the League and the ESL tossers forfeited for the Club, through their own misdeeds, the Jan transfer window and thus the modest improvements LB and colleagues had planned and needed.
Even so, absent atrocious misfortune last Saturday, we could have had a decent chance of staying up. 1 more point may still just be enough but it seems more like at least 2 against the 2 sides currently in the best form of the League is needed. Tough ask but still not impossible, especially if Leeds are in party mode as Champs with the Premier League just a few weeks away for them.
Whatever tactical mistakes LB has made (and all managers make them), and even if we do take the drop, in my book he’s done an amazing job with no money and shocking injuries that ripped the guts out of us mid-season, to leave us even now with a sniff of a chance of survival.
I’m proud he’s our Manager and hope to God he is still our manager next season with AB/PV at the helm.

@Fanny Fanackapan Beautiful words. Couldn't agree more.1

Sad seeing the criticism of Bowyer on here. Done brilliantly this season.
Very unlucky tonight. Could have scored more. We're an odd relegation team given how few goals we conceed.10 -
My fear about LB is he won't stay if we get relegated.. He will move on and who could blame him.... I think we possibly played his potential new club tonight....5
-
Draw with Wigan and we still stay up. Barnsley won't get 4 points, Hull won't get another, Huddersfield will lose their next game... So last game of season we will be above Barnsley, Hull, Luton on GD, Huddersfield on GD and Wigan. Massive bad luck for all of the last 3 to pick up points and send us down and even if they did the EFL will relegate Shef Weds instead of us anyway...2
-
Desperate times require desperate measures. I'd be tempted to rest our key players against Wigan and go for 3 points against a Leeds side who with luck won't have anything to play for.1

Even with a draw Saturday and a Luton Hull Draw. That would leave us going into the last game 2 points ahead of all three meaning 2 of the 3 would have to both win to relegate us with a loss at Leeds.
Adding to that if Huddersfield lose to West Brom with the same results that would be one more team that would need to better our result on the last day when they travel to our neighbours!Trying to stay positive here!5 -
I think Huddersfield are the key to this as they could lose their last two games with us needing a point to go above them. Luton will escape, Barnsley and Hull won't.1

For all you Taylor haters, we took 7 points from the 3 games he decided not to play because of the extended season.
If we have had stable ownership with a genuine 5 year plan of Premier football then Lyle Taylor who was great for us would still be a Charlton player now with at least a two year extension on a successful Championship strikers pay scale.
As we are small time he decided to move on, no doubt like Lee Bowyer will if he is offered a Championship position next season.
All this hate to Holmes, Grant and Taylor is just plain one eyed jealousy.
Mixing up professional footballers with Football fans is just wrong. Gerrard and Rooney only stayed at Liverpool and United because of massive wage increases.
Taylor, Grant and Holmes never had that luxury.
No denying Bellingham is a great talent but even more reason to be proactive in continuing to get at Birmingham down the flanks as Doughty and Aneke were doing so well.

I kinda agree about Holmes and Grant, but Taylor screwed us over. Fans are entitled to be annoyed with him.18

We will never know but with Taylor we may have beaten Cardiff....2 pts could make a huge difference.1

Bowyer to Birmingham? He's our best manager since Curbishley, Chris Powell included.

Lack of intelligence
lack of spirit
lack of heart
brum are dogshit and were given the red carpet ‘here go and take a free point we’re shitting ourselves’
starts at the top and corrodes all but Doughty and Phillips
Alfie would be mad mad mad 🤡🤪🤯 to accept the contract offer from this piss poor shit show. He has a fine future for the taking. Sadly it will need to be elsewhere.1 - Sponsored links:

Sorry, but however well Bowyer has done, it's ridiculous to say he can't be criticised and that today's defeat can only be blamed on Roland or Southall or Nimer.
Of course, when judging the season's performance, the tiny budget and the ESI shambles are obviously major reasons why we were always likely to be scrapping at the bottom of the table for survival, but that doesn't mean we can't pass judgement on the individual decisions a manager makes8 -
I think a draw against wigan might enough.2
-
Lee Bowyer has an issue with Macaulay Bonne agent who critised him when he didn't take him off at Swansea when he did his hamstring.
No need for that language Golfie, but if Bowyer doesn't regret taking Field off who was playing well, Doughty who was getting behind the defence and tried to get another 10 minutes from Williams then i would be amazed.

If people post shit like that then you can expect others to want to express their own opinions and shout them down.

I can understand why people will point the finger at Bowyer’s subs, but we’ve spent £300k all season, the lowest spend by a mile, on Bonne who by his own admission wasn’t ready to play at this level.
The fact we’re currently out of the bottom 3 is a miracle, we were favourites to go down and it’s looking very likely we will, but the fact we’re currently in with a chance of staying up is a good thing at least.
The ball trickling into the net was painful and felt like the season summed up, Luton will 100% beat Hull meaning we will need at least 1 win in our last two fixtures, it’s against us like never before after tonight but I still have belief we can survive.2 -
Rylo said:This season has been toxic. I honestly think it’s been bad for my health both physically and mentally. Hoping for something positive to come of all of this, but it’s hard to imagine when it’s pretty much a constant flow of negativity.Whatever happens I’ll keep supporting the team, but bloody hell it’s been a slog recently!
But it's the other stuff that's doing me in...players refusing to honour contracts in a relegation dogfight, a complete charlatan filled cesspit of ownerships overseen by an inept footballing body meaning I can't with any ounce of common sense renew my ticket for next season because there's a chance it's likely lining the pockets and gaudy material tastes of some wrong un pillaging the club rather than actually going towards keeping us going.
And the complete lack of action and outrage at clubs like Bury going under, the stuff at Wigan and us.
It's rotten to the core and a cesspit filled with chancers and conmen.
The football has almost become irrelevant.
Awful season in so many ways.15 -
