He is very confident he wants to go to Hull, but will only happen if Jarrod Bowen moves.
Also bare in mind Hull have spent more time recently in the Premier League and can almost definitely pay better wages.1 -
MuttleyCAFC said:I think my concern stems from the fact that I feel our position demands we go into our next two games and six points (over the next six days) with more than a midfield of an overplayed Pratley (I think he deserves a medal btw), Vennings and Morgan. And well as he did on Saturday, only Davison up front. Ok we have a few coming back but they have to be eased back for fear of losing them later!
If you think we can write those points off and wait for Barnsley then you are probably going to feel better about things than me. But I honestly feel these two games coming up are vitally important and I would have expected us to be better prepared for them in terms of personnel given we are on day 16 of the transfer window.
It's just that I recognise most January deals get done in the last few days, because everyone is playing a waiting game.
I can panic as much as I choose to, but it's not going to change how the transfer window operates.5 -

Serious impatience on here. They've been in control for less than a month and Gallen is now working to an entirely different budget. Everyone knows we have money so is trying to squeeze more out of us. I'd rather they weren't held to ransom by a mid-table League One player to be honest.7

HUDDERSFIELD GETTING CLOSER ON TOFFOLO
Huddersfield are closing in on a deal to reunite Harry Toffolo with his former Lincoln boss Danny Cowley.
The Terriers are in advanced talks with the Imps to sign the left-back and there is understood to be an agreement on the fee.
Toffolo, 24, set to join pending the results of a medical and an agreement over personal terms.

Have to be honest, the idea of a CM who was a target for us not to agree on an extra 1K a week in the position as is in, is bizarre.
I'm not a doom and gloomer but, we seriously need to pull our finger out and get some bodies in. Refusing to stump up an extra 52K pa or negotiating that, is not going to keep us up.
We can not keep saying after the next game we will get bodies in, we need liven up now.
Frustrating I know as we need bodies in urgently but we do also have bodies coming back like Williams and JFC.
Agreed though we do need fresh bodies now but I get not overpaying for them too.I get that but you can't work on that model. We are not trying to sign 25 players. We need ideally 3/4 players in. So say if all four wanted an extra 1k a week. That's 208k a year for 4 players? Is it really that unsustainable?

This is bollocks... They need to start pulling their finger out or we are nailed on for relegation
You may have an idea of what he's currently on but until you sit down and start negotiating you would not have the slightest idea what he wants.
The player's agent is only interested in two people - his client and himself (I'm not sure of the order!). Take Maddison as an example - we have made the bid and that bid was accepted - whether or not we met the release clause has little relevance - clearly Posh are happy with the bid so it must be reasonably substantial. Now Maddison's agent knows we want him - a position of strength for him. In response to a question from us along the lines of 'How much does your client want?' the response is likely to be 'How much are you prepared to pay?'. And so it plays out. 'How much?' screams the agent - 'That's not even in the ball park' - the negotiation continues and may or may not reach a conclusion if either the gap is too wide or the player doesn't really want to come to us - unless our offer was surprising and significantly more than he was expecting.
The fact that Matt Southall is an ex-agent has no relevance whatsoever - he isn't one of Maddison's agent's concerns.

I took from LB's press conference that its he and Gallen who are being careful with the purse rather than just ESI.
If another club come in for Maddison now, then i think we will go back in with a better offer, but at the moment LB & SG are happy to wait 12-14 days.13 -

Does he have a massive commute every work day or live separately from them ?0 -

Also bare in mind Hull have spent more time recently in the Premier League and can almost definitely pay better wages. At this point any plan to progress the club to the Premier League is by far and away overshadowed by the need to stay in the current league and unless things change quite quickly that is looking unlikely to me.3 -

Trouble is in 14 days time we will have played another 3 games.
We really need a couple in quick.0 -
We need to remember FFP.
Our revenues are substantially below many of the other teams, who have parachute monies, greater TV income & gate revenue.
If our revenue is lower then our expenditure has to be lower as well.
I'm guessing but would say our revenue would put us about 18th and wouldn't be surprised if it's lower than that.
So break the FFP rules and we could get a 20 point deduction in 4 years.
Ok we could be promoted and take the punishment when relegated like QPR.11 -

I’m confident that we will hit bottom three hopefully before a return to form and safety. We really are skating on thin ice. No guarantee returning players will hit the ground running or not relapse. No certainty that new players won’t take time to settle and perform. This season is very squeaky bum time. Relegation would be an absolute disaster.5

Gerrard in his presser today RE: Docherty
“There’s a serious party at the table, just finalising personal terms and should be done in next few days”.I don’t think it’s Charton he’s off to0 -
Martin Samuelsen from West Ham is someone we're interested in signing, according to my mate who supports West Ham, but he has come out with some Bullshit before! regarding transfers, so wouldn't be so sure.

With Maddison it has to be more than just the money. We need players who want to be here ultimately and he clearly doesn't. Good player but there are other good players. If he changes his mind and it isn't too late, maybe something can be done!3

I will get my green jacket as I don't think I made the cut.3 -
Reece we have given him permission to speak to 2 championship clubs. It's up to them and player to agree terms or not. Thanks pal.1
