Not been in there yet. Micropub and bottle shop opened last week next to the undertakers. Just down from the Star Inn.1

We went in last night for the first time. It’s only been open just over a week. Very nice. Small but perfectly formed. Very happy with my new local.1

I know young Nick the owner as he was a regular at my place. Nice lad and passionate about his beer. I think he’ll do well.Curb_It said:We went in last night for the first time. It’s only been open just over a week. Very nice. Small but perfectly formed. Very happy with my new local.2 -
He certainly did seem to know his stuff, I was sat listening to him. Quite impressive for a young guy to be going out on his own like that. Brave but i think they will do well.Riviera said:

The fall and fall of the Victoria. Plans submitted for it to become a Domino's.

Four Fathoms in Herne Bay. Absolute gem and so good that it is now my local despite being 60 miles away!0

About 35 seconds into this link, you can see the inside of The Brookmill in Lewisham, followed by Thierry Henry driving his Clio round outside.
Lovely old pub building, but sadly the new owners decided to get rid of the lovely horseshoe-shaped bar when they gentrified it a few years back.

Cousin lives near danson park so popped around the Royal Oak/polly Yesterday for a couple of lunchtime pints - old school pub.0

Not sure what the CC and Mr C is mate, but doubt it's me in there. I went in once in it's previous incarnation when it was The Cranbrook - despite the appealing period features, it was very rundown, the customers looked like Chernobyl survivors and it had a Millwall flag behind the bar.DA9 said:

I've been in a couple of times since it's been gentrified, but sausage rolls and scotch eggs on the bar costing £4.50 and £5 respectively - that is not acceptable! Full of the red trouser brigade as well, I generally try and avoid such venues.
On the subject of sausage rolls and scotch eggs on the bar, what is this trend with just leaving them sitting on a bit of slate on the bar with nothing covering them up so that everyone who comes up and orders a drink can sneeze and cough all over them?! Disgusting!1 -

They are someone’s initials, one of the photos is of a woman I know who sits in the covered end a couple of rows in front of me, just thought it was a coincidence that the pub was mentioned on here and an addick is in the google photo search in the pub, thought you might have been her or knew her etcMrLargo said:

Ah, understand now, cheers! However, I'm definitely a bloke and women tend to avoid me at all costs, so I can 100% confirm that I'm not her and I don't know her!DA9 said:

Just seen on a Facebook page that The Noah's Ark in Deptford has been levelled?
Surely these building can be used in their original form in some way or another, even if it's not as a pub?0 -

Demolished without planning permission. A lovely building that'll get replaced with a bland block of flats.1 -
