    23-21 FT
  • France have been so lucky, could easily have lost 2 of their 3 games.  England and (presumably) Wales should beat them comfortably.
  • I didn't realise there is a typhoon forecast for the Ireland v Samoa game, and if it happens it might be abandoned and awarded as a draw - could make Pool A (and Scotland v Japan) even more interesting. Harsh if Ireland went out due to that when a win would put them through.

France are shite at the moment. Their main focus is the 2023 World Cup.

Wales struggling atm 10-0 down v Fiji. Rather we play them than Australia in the quarters. Come on Fiji.

Fiji ripping in to Wales at the moment.  Not sure they will be able to keep the intensity up for the entire game.

Such a shame Figi bottled it vs Uruguay because even if Wales lose here they're pretty much through

At least 3 times Fiji have passed the ball forwards and cost themselves points. Basic stuff is costing them.

England v France has been called off what with a Typhoon being a risk to the area - Sounds like its not going to be played anywhete else either

Although it is only the Daily Mail reporting that so could be bullshit

From an England perspective if it is called off the boys get plenty of rest and we top the group so no real harm done

Would have loved to stuff France with our 2nd team

Just looked at getting an International Driving Licence in Europe

The only country in Europe that specified we now need an IDL after Brexit is.... France

Would have loved to stuff France with our 2nd team....

It is disapointing as I an sure we were all looking forwards to watching it, but at least it doesn't make much difference to anything. Should the Japan v Scotland game be called off, the whole competition will be devalued.

I don't think I have watched any game yet, normally don't mind the Rugby when its England, my Brother plays for his school and have a few Saracens players there, he is 16. The only one I saw when Japan were losing to Ireland and they ended up winning lol

Doesn't seem to be much hype, although I admit I don't really read or watch the news. In honesty I keep forgetting its on otherwise could watch most as I work from home.

  • New Zealand match off also

England supporters told the BBC how their travel plans have been thrown into chaos.

"We are absolutely devastated," said Karl Green, who had hoped to begin his honeymoon with new wife Shannan at the England-France fixture in Yokohama, about 20 miles south of the capital.

The couple were at Heathrow Airport, waiting for their flight to Tokyo, when they got the news that this would not be possible.

"We got married in May and planned our delayed honeymoon over a year ago so we could watch England in the World Cup," Karl, 27, from Essex.

    Who said romance is dead.

I guess this sort of shit is what happens when you arrange a World Cup in typhoon season in an area prone to typhoons...

    Gutted for Karl and Shannan.

Good news is that their holiday company has offered them an alternative honeymoon holiday on the Syria/Turkey border.
