What date?cafcwill said:Technically all we have today (as it's not official) is another Date to wait and see what happens
Like February, April, after the season, after Norwich friendly before it, there is now a new date where an announcement might be made be made.

RD thinks himself a smart businessman but rather than cut academy refreshments, why doesn't he take a leaf out of the spiv's book and cash-in the sell-on clauses of Pope, Gomez and Lookman?0

One of the hacks reported this week that Lookman's was in place. I'd give more credence to his transfer being the hold up rather than funding.randy andy said:

The size of the protests and appetite to do so was generally linked to the performances on the pitch. If we have a bad start - as could be very likely - then I suspect the mob will gather. If we have a barn stormer then the mob will throw verbals the other way.Arsenetatters said:

If they’ve failed it’s a damned shame, because I think they had the potential to give us ‘proper’ ownership for the first time in years.
I wouldn’t have said those things if I didn’t know GM, who I know for a fact isn’t/wasn’t trying to make a land grab, at least.

Someone was being spun a line and fell for it hook, line and sinker.
Another depressing season starts tomorrow, what a time to be alive.
Then the "Charlton affect" steamed in and here we are. Maybe Mark Hulyer can organise another rubber shipment to fill the financial gap? Maybe Zabeel will dust off their old DD? Maybe Sunley will build us a new stand? Maybe the lovely Glikstein family will find some old mouldies down the sofa and give us more depression. Maybe we can throw money in a bucket and buy another striker? Maybe we could play on Friday nights to bolster the crowd and use the carpark for a market on Saturday? Maybe we can share with those c***s again to keep the club alive?
In short, apart from the recent premiership years, common sense or luck never touches this club. It takes something different to be a Charlton fan. But one day it must change, but its the hope ..............0 -

It's looking more and more like Roland, having been given a choice of a number of consortia from whom to choose, each submitting an acceptable bid, has chosen the wrong one. Assuming his spokespeople have been telling the truth when they claimed that there were a number of acceptable bids.
So it's either a case of him lying to the fans (again) or making a terrible, costly decision (again).5 -
About time the Aussies got this sorted... if they wanted the club, really wanted it, surely it would have happened by now.20

I received some info myself this week from Auz that makes me doubt this is gonna be salvaged. Nothing concrete and not claiming ITK particularly but the person who told me does have some links to the consortium directly.2 -
