He's not alone in doing that tbf.Scoham said:

He's got more right than most on here. Airman only does the same, gives the vaguest of details and often turns out to be wide of the mark anyway.Scoham said:

He might have, I don't follow his posts closely. I saw he got Konsa to Brentford right. On the other hand I thought he had been saying the takeover was close for months?cafcfan1990 said:

Do you know what?
I have been a much happier person giving this thread a swerve for a couple of days...3 -
Heard it on good authority from an insider at the club that the major step forward has been delayed until Thursday.Scoham said:Colin's now saying Wednesday isn't the takeover being completed but a major step forward.

Is no news good news?
That is the question.0 -

I’m much more laid back about this now. For weeks/ months I have been avidly reading every post and expecting it to happen. Now I am quite relaxed as I don’t think it will happen any time soon if at all. It’s very liberating if not disappointing.2

sort of where i am but think that is because of England and the world cup not really thinking much about Charlton yet.ShootersHillGuru said:I’m much more laid back about this now. I skim this now normally going to the last page. If there was any news of importance mentioned on here a mod will put something in the bracketed section in the thread title so no chance of missing it. And as you can see the last time this happened was on page 946.

Still no announcement of a new CEO etc etc must be a good sign........right?2

We beat Belgium world cup final and the takeover is officially completes on the same day
Imagine what an insanely great day that would be.1 -
I wonder how much the universe has expanded since this thread began? By the time this sale goes through, the pitch will be the size of Eltham.
But it’s all relative...
( just had a look - the universe is expanding at 68 kilometres per second apparently. Kin hell)

Yes having studied the period for A level history I didn't particularly want to assume one way or the other.JessieAddick said:
I was going to say whether or not I'd be pleased but then it occured to me this is a sensitive issue. I'd better just say nothing.cantersaddick said:Great leap forward? We are being taken over by Chairman Mao?
@JessieAddick will/won't be pleased.2 -
Once the takeover happens then lots will happen very quickly, they must have a plan already in place and various posts already filled. Why bother otherwise.
It really has to happen in the next two weeks for both sides, its just become a game of chicken1 -
To paraphrase Blackpool72, one of them just needs to sell the club and cluck off then..barstool said:Once the takeover happens then lots will happen very quickly, they must have a plan already in place and various posts already filled. Why bother otherwise.

There’s a fans’ forum meeting tomorrow where the club will apparently be represented by Belgian Lieven de Turck. I think he’s the fella who’s handled the vast majority of negotiations with Gerard Murphy. The forum will discuss the sale.
It’ll be interesting to hear what comes out of the meeting, although presumably we’ll only hear Roland’s side of the story.19 -

Well, let's hope the minutes are published without any delay so that whatever is discussed is shared with us all as early as possible.JamesSeed said:There’s a fans’ forum meeting tomorrow where the club will apparently be represented by Belgian Lieven de Turck. If Murray is there you'll only hear his idea of events.JamesSeed said:There’s a fans’ forum meeting tomorrow where the club will apparently be represented by Belgian Lieven de Turck. Can we make a bingo board with the following:
- Takeover will be completed in x weeks
- There is a British consortium (but their invisible)
- Roland is a swell guy
- Aussies are still in talks
- No more youngsters sold
Feel free to add to it
Any Aussies expected to be there tomorrow night?0
