Is that the extra payments that need to be made to the players after Pardew has got personal with their wives allegedly?Hovi's Biscuit said:

I was thinking more of his apparent fondness for signing large numbers of players (especially strikers) on big wages and relatively long contractsAlwaysneil said:

One could argue that was England's level given the players he had for most of his time in charge....ForeverAddickted said:
Other than England though he did a great job with Fulham and West Brom though so could argue thats his levelFortune 82nd Minute said:Disappointing news that De Boer has been sacked - he was doing a great job in taking them down.
But let's hope Hodgson is his replacement. Bloke is about 70 now and well past his prime. And let's face it - his last gig with England was hardly a rip roaring success.
Still optimistic the fun can continue!4 -
Reading through the reactions on Facebook, it seems that Palace fans aren't too fond of Steve Parish.1
-
Incredible. The bloke has saved them from administration and got them into the Premiership. Always comes over as likeable and competent. (Please forgive me for saying that). And a Palace fan to boot.charlton_hero said:Reading through the reactions on Facebook, it seems that Palace fans aren't too fond of Steve Parish.
They really are a strange lot down the road.17 -
This is the mob who dispensed with Sam Allardyce. I watched the highlights on MOD and thought that they looked the better team apart from their inability to take any chances. Choosing a new manager presumably carefully, and then sacking him after four games is the action of a bunch of idiots, at least they are at the right Club.0

Not that I'm particularly bothered, but this sacking is absolutely ridiculous. I thought they played well yesterday apart from a couple of blunders. Panic stations has set in early doors down in SE25. Is Roland the new owner?0
-
An early season panic sacking with a pay-off. Roy comes in with some tough games and could get off to an awful start, which in turn could lead to another panic sacking and big pay-off.
This has all the signs of a disaster season for them. Fingers crossed...

He did indeed, although I suspect he'll reappear around Christmas when another club ditches their manager and needs someone to get them out of trouble. With a bit of luck, he might enable someone else to stay up at Palace's expense.SDAddick said:

I asked my contact about Allardyce and he reckons Parish was in touch with him last night.0

Oh I so hope that is not true. He will get them out of trouble without any problem.Addickted said:I asked my contact about Allardyce and he reckons Parish was in touch with him last night.
Can only hope "Big Sam" is enjoying his break from football and doesn't want to come back yet.1 -
I used to love it when Curbs used to see off the number of managerial changes at both Palace and Millwall during his tenure.palarsehater said:palace obviously jealous of the amount of managers we have had.
Robinson's already seen off De Boer, Allardyce and Pardew. Is the wheel of fortune slowly beginning to turn our way once more?1 -
They have had to cancel their goal of the month competition. Instead they have asked fans to select the game they played least worst in.randy andy said:Crystal Palace are the first top-flight team since Preston in 1924-25 to lose their opening four matches without scoring a goal

Think I might be repeating myself but I heard Sam had a very bad health problem. Fairly reliable source, but not got any corroborating evidence.
I hope it's not true, he doesn't deserve that. Plus I like to think he walked away from Palace because he realised they're a shitty facsimile of a football club.0 -
At least that removed Les Reed from the top of the able for the amount of games before sacking1
-
Wow. He took them from Administration to the EPL in something like 2 years and they have been there ever since. They are crazy. He has done a good job, overall. That's simply the facts. Crystal Palace are a Championship club fighting above their weight (and apparently profitable) and their fans are all of a sudden thinking they are Chelsea.charlton_hero said:Reading through the reactions on Facebook, it seems that Palace fans aren't too fond of Steve Parish.

I haven't got any sources but I heard the same through the media at the time. No idea what his specific illness was though.JiMMy 85 said:Think I might be repeating myself but I heard Sam had a very bad health problem. Fairly reliable source, but not got any corroborating evidence.

Parish chased FDB and courted him yet look at the financial support he gave him
You can not go for a Mgr who plays the sort of football FDB believes in and then give him the same hood ball shit team that palace have
That aside they are just cnuts from top to bottom and parish looks like the sort of chinless wonder that irritates my soul
Fuck them

I got quite specific info but not really comfortable sharing it in case it is true. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.SantaClaus said:

Sacking someone after four games when you have stated you are trying to change the style of play is a farce. Especially when they are said to have played well yesterday. Anyone who goes there will have a huge payment written into their contract for when they get sacked.
Gutted he's gone, thought he'd made a brilliant start0 -

Big Sam will take any job if the price is right.0

Must win game for hodgson, defeat against Southampton and he could be on his way out7

IF he makes it to half time I will be surprised... best that Parish line someone else up just in case Palarse do not make it out of the tunnel!Holdkneebomb said:Must win game for hodgson, defeat against Southampton and he could be on his way out

How much did it cost to get that fat crook on TV to deny that he was going to Palace? Fucking joke.0
-
I wonder how many interviews took place between DeBoer getting sacked and them offering to Hodgson?0
-
He sounds like he is struggling to breath on that clip!0

Seeing that smug mug on the TV Saturday mornings, it takes the shine off my morning. Grrr0

Hodgson is so uninspiring. I really hope this is a disaster for Palace.2
