SKY hit the hype button - the greatest sporting upset ever. I don't think SKY covered The Euro Champs when Greece won it or when Forest won the league in their first season in Div One & the Euro Cup twice in the following years.

However, still a brilliant achievement. Leicester have done everyone outside of the big four or five proud.

Greece were 150-1 and won 6 games.

    Leicester were 5000-1.
  • Delighted for Leicester, a feel good story for all us fans of regular clubs.

Spurs could and probably should have had four red cards in that game, really lost their heads tonight but takes nothing away from their fantastic season too.

    Fantastic !

This will bring the Beautiful Game back into the hearts of those thousands of football supporters that are sick & tired of the likes of Man U, Chelski & Citeh and their grossly overpaid "stars".

There's now a glimmer of hope for ALL football clubs out there, including Charlton Athletic , not just the so called biggies.

    Pity we can't clone Claudio.

Greece winning the Euro's was a huge shock but you can't compare a six game tournament to a 38 game league season, Nottingham Forest possibly compares but it was in a much different time.

I think Guy Mowbray summed it up well
Having Leicester as champions is wonderful. Feels a bit like football from the 70's again - as did that game
It reminds me of a time when the fight to be Champions was an open race, not closed up by the Big 4

Wondering what the odds are on Charlton winning the prem in the next 5 years... Probably bigger than 5000-1!

When you consider the amount of money they have spent compared to the top four and even Aston Villa who went down this a major upset in sport. 2 of Villas players cost more than the Leicester team combined. Nobody expected them to win it even when they were top at Christmas. I doubt we will see this happen again for a long time.

Forest winning the title in the 70s was FAR less of a shock, as football wasn't dominated by the Big 4 then. The likes of QPR, Ipswich and Soton all came close to winning the title back then

So, if Ranieri is flying back from Italy tonight, I'd imagine there'd be the red carpet/champagne reception at the airport (and maybe on the plane).

As someone else has said. The most funniest bit about this is that even after finishing above Chelsea, united, city and arsenal! spurs still don't win the league! I mean that's just cruel.

Great to see an ordinary club stick it up the usual suspects.

  • Leicester! Get in there! This shows that bog standard players can be trained into champions on and off the pitch, the Leicester training drills and effort put in must be emense, so glad they've done this, hopefully were next!

Sky have just done a montage of Claudio's press conferences through the season.

Brilliant fella..."so who are the favourites Claudio?"..."the others" comes the reply...he even does an impression of Pinocchio at the end...no, not you Latrien...he was making a joke of himself. You're nowhere near worthy!

Congratulations Leicester. Just 3 defeats all season, thoroughly deserved and very entertaining along the way.
