    Doesn't seem like a "network" style signing - but then neither was Johnson. Hopefully this means that Phil Chapple is having a greater say in our recruitment*.

    Joel Garner would be an awesome signing. Lots of experience and certainly passes the height test. I'd be concerned about how he would combine his West Indies coaching job towards the end of the year, we could lose him when we need him most.

    He is a win away from playing in the Championship with his home town club. If Preston go up he wont move anywhere, if they only make the play-offs and then fail to go up I'd reckon Preston will want £2m + for him.
