Who was the last Charlton signing who didn't get derogatory comments from the CL massive? after signing.

Did well at the Wendies, that matters more than what Wolves fans think of him.

Am i right in saying that he has not played a 1st team game for a year.
Had no squad number this season, and have been playing with the development team.

Played a couple of game on loan with West ham, where he got exposed.

How long will it take for him to get fit to play at champ level.?

I think a few people should read the TBH thread when we were linked and signed him.

Having great defenders doesn't score goals or win games. It just means that we might get a flukey win here and there (see Watford at home).
Couldn't agree more mate but in the absence of another forward coming on board we need to be solid at the back and If RoJo contributes to this then we have a chance to win games.

Let's face it we have been poor at set pieces / second ball from those all season and hopefully his aerial ability will help plus give us a threat at the other end assuming we can get some decent deliveries into the box for once.

Welcome Roger you come with a clean sheet for me and here's hoping you help achieve plenty of those in the remaining 18 matches.

I didn't think they rated him either? When we were linked with him in the summer they laughed.

Happy for him to prove me wrong by coming in, being committed & ready to play for the badge on his shirt.

    Welcome Roger.

Oh goody, another player who isn't match fit, along with Vetokel, Watt, Wiggins, Lepoint and Moussa who just isn't ever fit. Will Bulot be available on Saturday or will he have a minor injury as well

    Who is Will Bulot?

    So that's

    A goalie (network)
    A midfielder (non network)
    A defensive midfielder (non network)
    A CB (not network)

Need another striker but we never got one let's see what comes in the loan market

Tut tut.... All these network signings!!! Grrrr (shakes head furiously)

Pleased he signed, but what is in it for him?

Released from contract so I assume a loan would not be agreed by Wolves (as we would not pay all his wages?), and he could of stayed and picked up his wages until the end of his contract, (but wanted to leave?).

The contract we have him on is not longer so it is not that.

The only conclusion I can draw is that he wants to earn a new contract and therefore wants to put himself in the shop window. Good news for us if this is correct as he will be putting in the effort.

I can see why negotiations went on a bit and of course I probably have it wrong. I would be interested to know why this sort of deal happens if I am wrong.

As you say, the chance to win a contract or put himself in the shop window.

If be interested to know if anybody else was interested in him.

    Good luck to him.

I know when looking for players we're not shopping at Waitrose these days but it feels like we've been rummaging in the bins behind the Spar shop. (No offense Roger!!!)

Playing devils wossisname, 25% of our signings from five clubs out of a possible, what, 5 or 6 thousand in Europe? And matching you for sarcasm, as our massed ranks of sharpshooting strikers are regularly plundering three goals a game, that's shrewd recruitment TL...

Guess this is a decent signing, can't really moan about it. Would still like a striker on loan

Look at his CV over the last 3 years.

The last time he looked decent was at Birmingham in 2010/11 season.
(scott dann had a good partnership with him)
That's a life time in football.

I am normally quite optimistic on signings.
