90% of the staff will remain the same - that way it's a good challenge for you to work out if they have been trained or notAll_Thaid_Up said:Just having trained staff will be an improvement!

I just hope that if we are going onto bottled beers they invest in some bigger fridges as at almost every ground that sells bottles that I have been to, you are left with warm beers before half time!GreenWithEnvy said:
So pretty much the same as most of London then!cafcdave123 said:So im guessing it'll be about £4/£4.50 for a bottle of carlsberg....
Am looking forward to a decent burger rather than the vile slice of mystery meat twixt a stale roll. And just more choice generally. Perhaps my dinner on Tuesday night games will now be more then a bovril and a chunky kit kat bar!1 -
This is good news - I have always been astounded by the ineptitude of the current bar operation - Not to mention the limited range on offer.0
-
Agree. I'm more than happy to pay £4.50 for a bottle of beer as long as it's cold. Will be asking for my money back/replacement if they give me a warm/room temperature one.cafcdave123 said:

Why can't we take "alcoholic beverages" to our seats, like they do in the States? And when will we start serving Tim Taylor's Landlord on handpump?1
-
I brought a friend of mine to the Forest game and despite him being a Forest fan he had apparently never been to a football match before. He disappeared off at one point then returned to his seat holding a pint, much to my surprise. Nothing happened, no-one said anything and he just sat there and drank it, so it can be done.Viewfinder said:Why can't we take "alcoholic beverages" to our seats, like they do in the States? Excellent. Fortune favours the brave - and the naïve.Uboat said:

As the guy's name is Tetley, at least the tea should be good ! Any chance of cheaper Bovril ?0
-
It is a ridiculous ban, because fans who wnat to drink cram more in before the game and at half time. Needs reviewing IMO.0

Game towards the End of the season in fact I think it might of been the last home game,Uboat said:

Steward in the Upper North just did not care, one guy came up to his seat with a drink and nothing was said so everyone started bringing drinks up and walking straight past him holding them, he just ignored them

Kensell came from Arsenal didn't he ?
Delaware have had the catering at The Emirates for years0 -
It will never be reviewed. As far as the establishment is concerned the British football supporter is scum that can't be trusted to behave to the standards of normal society. I am hopeful that when a bi party commission from the House of Lords schedule their visit to the Den in Septem... Oh bollocks!0
-
Leave it as it is, who wants waves of people leaving seats continuously for pints ? If you can't wait 45mins for a beer you have issues.1
-
No offence FF, but who the supplier of the half time burger is is not something most fans would class as a BIG announcement.Fanny Fanackapan said:You guys !
Along comes a BIG announcement that shows the Club HAS been listening & yet it gets a lukewarm response...there really is no pleasing some folk.

Irrelevant to myself as I go to Charlton to watch the football not to sample the pork pies. As long as the club don't make a loss financially on it, then bon appetite.1
-
Bring back pies!0

Something a little stronger? Tetley Bitter, a pleasant drop when it was brewed in Leeds and served by handpump.Granpa said:As the guy's name is Tetley, at least the tea should be good ! Any chance of cheaper Bovril ?

As I have been saying for ages no loyalty in the game, we showed no loyalty to the old suppliers maybe they will end up at West Ham with a certain Mr Poyet ;-)2
-
Trying to improve the matchday experience nothing wrong with that, better beer, better food, better customer service.
The twitter folk built it up as a big anouncement that was gana sound like a new signing etc.
Thats where the dissapontment comes in.0 -
tbf i don't think it said 'Big' i just think it said announcement.1

As long as they bring in their own staff to run the kiosks as the current lot employed by Charlton don't have a clue about customer service that is deffo one thing he club need to improve0
-
can we have the pies that brighton have?

Think the "no alcohol in your seats" is a local council rule - same as taking the bottle tops off of drinks (which really annoys me) - that and paying £1.85 for a bottle of water!Viewfinder said:Why can't we take "alcoholic beverages" to our seats, like they do in the States? Pleased with that!0

“It’s an excellent deal and we have had to work hard to get the right partners to ensure the club’s visions, values and ambitions are aligned. The step change this partnership will create will be for everyone to see"
For me, saying the club's visions, values and ambitions are aligned as a result of catering contract is really over using business speak here. It's a new caterer that will hopefully serve better food for decent prices.4 -
As someone who uses the hospitality facilities, I hope they do keep most of the staff. We have come to think of many of them as friends and it would be sad to lose them.1
-
At least you can get a beer in the ground down here, all scottish football matches are booze free!soapy_jones said:It will never be reviewed. Hospitality staff are pretty much good people I agree with that but the kiosk staff are not the sharpest tools in the box1
-
Wee Jock Poo Pong Mcplop tends to have had enough booze on his Frosties before he makes it to the ground for kick off....1
