That would be a shame if true. Lets hope its because we have the next Kompany in the pipeline....

Gutted really especially if we get Riga back as dervite was great under him , this is going to be a VERY interesting summer I just hope we have more ups than downs in terms of good signings ect , this could be a big loss.

Someone mentioned this a few weeks back but I thought it seemed odd. Still do.

Someone told me at Sheff W A, that Dervite had already agreed a move elsewhere.

I didn't repeat it, as I had no idea if it was true & it wasn't a good time to be spreading rumours.

Thanks Roland. Prepare for more of this over the summer. Morrison and Hamer will be next.

Odd. Interestingly there is absolutely nothing about this on the #bwfc hashtag.

@Ledge Mentioned one of his cabbie mates saw Dervite meeting Freedman a few weeks ago in London.

Funny move, but then we've only given him 2 one year contracts, so it's not as if shown great enthusiasm for him in the past.

@RichCawleySLP: Big blow that Dervite going. Has been one of the star performers in final months of the season. #cafc

Here's hoping that Roland at least offered him improved terms. Can't wait for the spin they put on this one.

Disappointing. He seemed to fit in well with the focus on playing out from the back as he's been by far our best footballing centre back.

We're going to have to bring in an awful lot of players this summer.

    Thanks Tony and Michael,

Your brilliant "strategy" of not signing up players is reaping its rewards

Not really. Bolton must still be one of the bigger payers in the div. If he get's two years off them he's probably got enough to purchase a house. It's a shame we didn't have a one year option.

A testament to Powell and his team's excellent player acquisitions. Hope he stays, good luck if he doesn't.

From what i saw which was not very much & from what i heard on cafc player which was most of the time. Dervite sounded our strongest centre back especially under the tactical genius.

Cannot see us getting anyone as good as him on a free transfer. Thought he improved massively this season. A big loss.

If this is true it's a real pity, I think many of us will take a view on the summer of transfers/contracts to come from the first couple of news stories we see, and this, if a sign of things to come, is negative. Dorian has been solid at Charlton.

At the end of the day Bolton could be doubling / trebling he's wages this isn't Roland's fault is it ?
Slater ect should of had him down on a longer contract , really don't see how rd can get the blame for Morrison , hamer poyet or dervite , if our good players are leaving for free in the next couple of seasons then fair enough blame Roland D.

Could this be like last season where we saw good players go hoping to see better come in to only see no one coming in!! I don't buy the idea that we worked so hard to avoid relegation to go through all that again! It has to be an active summer in and out if RD wants to start seeing a return on his investment.

Real shame, he looked a player that was going to get better the more game time and experience he got.

Inevitable things like this were going to happen though, given the situation 'the club' put itself in.
