Loan window shuts in a week.

Loan window could shut at the end of the season, but we will still see no activity.

Well I've seen a comment on another site suggesting a winger and a striker could be on the way. The striker being an "old favourite"

The only old favorite we've had is Darren Bent but I highly doubt he'd come back, love it if he did though

Bent is already on loan at Fulham. That's without taking the costs into consideration. Not happening.

Might it be N'Guessan? Or maybe Jay Bothroyd? (although favourite is pushing it a bit I admit...)

The only fans favourite strikers we have had are Kermorgant, Bent and Mendonca really. Or Andy Hunt. I can see NONE of those returning.

Lita? Where is he these days?

Guesswork that people buy into, good stuff. People like buying into false pretences to live in an ideal world, be surprised if we get one in. Roland won't be forking out cash for something he doesn't need to in his long term business plan, what league we are in doesn't effect that, considering he bought us when we were looking like heading for the drop anyway.

Swansea, available for loan. Been at Brighton this season but returned in January.
  • It seems our friend Obika hasn't been featuring for Brighton for the past few weeks.

    Would love another Obika thread.

Ricardo Fuller ? Although I could not see Blackpool loaning him to a rival.

I am pretty sure the window shuts on Thursday so not much time left to sort something but confident that something will happen

If we accept Roland is here to make money, the league we are in is extremely important. The only way to make money is to get to the Premier League and then not waste the money that comes in. You can't get from League One to the Premier League without going via the Championship, so it makes an awful lot of sense for us to not get relegated, thus negating the necessity of securing an extra promotion.

Out of contract at the end of the season... when he'll sign for Liege presumably. ;)

If he can find his groove we'll finally see some chances actually being scored... at long last.

    Blimey!

Whilst my luck's in.....i notice that Ronaldo has been getting bored at Madrid.

He looked good last season. Not a lone striker so has to partner someone, but fingers crossed he will be a threat to the opposing defenders. Brighton fans didn't seem to rate him during the recent loan spell, but then they also said he was played as a lone striker most of the time, so maybe a bit unfair.
