It was mentioned on another site that we were trying to get a striker in who has a chance of going to the world cup with his country. Going on that the only realistic player I can think of is Apostolos Vellios at Everton. Roberto Martinez has already said that he needs to go out on loan and he could be exactly what we need.
Given the impending fixture pile-up, unless it is someone totally out in the cold like a Danny Hollands, I'm not sure we should be letting anyone leave at the moment.

With 2 games a week I could even see Gower or Hollands playing at some stage unless we get another midfielder in.I am concerned that Cousins and Poyet can play two games a week for seven weeks without a break.
I'd like Riga to make his own assessments on players before offloading anyone.

I'd like to see Hollands in the squad. A better player than Pritchard, as is Gower.
I would have thought at their ages, Cousins and Poyet would be more able to play 2 games a week than JJ! Don't you recover more quickly when you are young? I think I did but it was so long ago I have forgotten!
Think he is going to be playing for Sunderland. Doubt he will go out on loan again.
He's played for Sunderland, Wednesday and Leeds already this season. Can he play for another club? I imagine Sunderland recalled him due to their upcoming fixture congestion.

He could because it would be an 'emergency' loan but I suspect the Mackems will keep him now .
The problem with Cameron Stewart was that his loan to us was 'permanent' and for the specified period until the January window and because he had also played for Hull in the Carling Cup it meant that he could only go on an emergency loan to Leeds because he had played for 2 clubs .Still Leeds don't have to worry about the play offs now so it won't affect them . I don't think there is a limit on emergency loans.
NOTTINGHAM Forest's deal for Lee Peltier has fallen through just hours after the club officially announced his signing on their website.
The club had announced this afternoon that they had made a loan signing, in the form of Leeds defender Peltier – who had been signed by Neil Warnock at Elland Road.
The 27-year-old visited the Nigel Doughty Academy and met with Al Hasawi and the club’s new ambassador, double European Cup winning skipper John McGovern.
But Forest owner Fawaz Al Hasawi then said that the deal had fallen through at the final hurdle, even after both clubs had confirmed it had been completed.

Interest in number of #cafc players not in side at moment but club not keen to lose without first strengthening.
