To be honest I reckon we’re gonna be just fine regardless of whether we bring in a wingback or not based off what we’ve seen so far. Don’t see the need to spend more of the budget on a player we would not be completely sold on. We’ve got so much versatility in the squad I think we will manage

Bracing myself for a silly bid to come in for Ramsay in the next couple of weeks especially after yesterday's performance, just need to hang on to him, such an influential player for us to lose now...

Ramsey going now where …there will be one more permanent deal before the window closes .. with Kanu and Enslin heading out on loan

For me, I think we may be lucky with Ramsay. I don’t think as a RB alone he’d be quite good enough for the PL (or good enough to be worth the fee he’d command). I can’t see him working in a standard CB pairing either.

The only way a move would make sense is if a club that plays 3 at the back puts a bid in.

It’s a worry but he’ll be worth more next summer.

Reckon we get 3.5M for him next summer too risky to sell him now as he will play a big part in keeping us up and too much money to turn down next summer

You can double that. I think next summer they’ll be a few PL teams eyeing him.

Someone suggested Acheampong on loan the other day, he starts for Chelsea today so that obviously isn’t happening

You never know, if he’s really, really rubbish today then we might have a chance!

Got to be £10m plus with the money in football, now that we’re being run like a proper club again, and have ambitions beyond the Championship.

    3.5 million would be laughable...
    Worth 20 million minimum.

It won't look that way right now, but it will do by the end of the season.

If we play a high profile game on TV, he will have eyes on him and a lot more people will start talking.

A consistent 9/10 player every week, doesn't seem to have a bad game in him.

3m would be the fee if we were still in league 1 - possibly less. Stay up and he continues this form and there will be a dutch auction with a number or premier league suitors I'd guess. You are then looking at closer to 10m, more with add-ons. If you consider what Konsa went for when moving from Brentford to Villa I think it is a similar transfer. Ramsay potentially has a higher window than konsa as well.

I am not exagerating when I say he is one of the best CBs we have had since the premier league days.

Konsa went to Villa for £12m from Brentford, after one season in The Championship playing 42 games. That is the minimum level, given inflation since, we should be looking for Ramsay next summer if he keeps this standard of performance up.

Well there’s probably only about three clubs in the world that can afford him according to this thread!

Excellent point at Bristol City and if Edwards is out injured like he was at the beginning of last season then Bell replaces Josh and Gillesphey slots in as LCB as he did so well for the 2nd half of last season.

I'm going to email Real Madrid and recommend they take a look at Kayne ✅ Ramsay ✅ straight away.

Many of our posters are upset they can only give our talented RCB a 10.
A swap deal? Trent and £50m for Ramsay.
  • Not that he is going but if we were to sell him I’d look at Pye from Stockport

Risk losing him for nothing the following season how much could you realistically demand for someone with 12 months left on his deal
