NTTT podcast got us finishing 19th.
Not convinced by the signings.4 -
Don’t laugh but I’ll take that every day of the week. Staying up will be massive and then we build further next summer.
This is a tough tough league. That’s not being defeatist - it would be a great achievement44 -
I may be alone with this and will probably be shot down in flames from what everyone has been saying, but I hope that we keep Alex Mitchell as cover.4

It's a strange feeling this. We could just survive, or end up in the playoffs. We don't know, and i dare say, neither does NJ.DamoNorthStand said:Don’t laugh but I’ll take that every day of the week. Staying up will be massive and then we build further next summer.

F*ck Me 145 new posts, have we signed anyone else after Knibbs?0 -
I've seen another prediction video (by a Preston fan incidentally) that had us in 21st. He had Hull, Oxford and Wednesday as the bottom 3.carly burn said:NTTT podcast got us finishing 19th.

NJ mentioned he was not just going to survive in the Championship. This window has proved that, he wants to compete. Lots of work for him to do, but his teams generally finish the season strong. If he can get a tune out of this lot earlier in the season, I think it will be a cracker.Hats off to the club, they have backed him and I am very happy money has been made available. This ownership are not full of shit.10

When you boil it down, we have still bought players that all have questions marks attached. Be it patchy injury records, just been relegated from this division and perhaps on the downward slope of their career, or not being proven at this level. If it all clicks they could be great, but there's no guarantees it will click or they will all live up to hope/expectation. I can totally see why a more neutral observer might not be so bullish about us. Also worth remembering NTTT tipped Jack Payne was going to be a key player for us, but he was so ineffective I had to google him just now to remember his name, so they don't know exactly what will happen, any more than the rest of us.carly burn said:NTTT podcast got us finishing 19th.

Yeah, listened to this podcast too. Our risk according to them is that we appear to have picked up a few players off the back of a very good season but there’s a risk they are a bit flash in the pan and unable to step up. Still finishing 6th from bottom would do me, albeit looking at last season’s table would be a real squeaky bum end to the season…carly burn said:NTTT podcast got us finishing 19th.

Where’s their Championship predictions? I had a look but can only see L1 and L2?carly burn said:NTTT podcast got us finishing 19th.

And yet we're all delighted to have Kelman who didn't get a sniff at Wembley thanks to Jones and the rest of our defence. Campbell looked pretty tired at the end of last season having been kicked all across the country but he was completely key to how we played and kept us in the hunt for 2nd with some key goals as the season wore on. Everyone in our team needs to step up this season, I think TC is one of the most equipped to keep developing in our squadIR94 said:I am a fan of Campbell, part the way he was so easily marked out of the play-offs games makes me think he will need to improve quite a bit to step up to Champ level12 -
If you’re looking on YouTube the 1-24s are a few days delayed, the podcast came out this afternoonScoham said:

@Goddenole pleased to see you’re back (or never left) just your profile said “not found” - your insight/ITK has been terrific!Goddenole said:
Still around - trying to enjoy both. Really pleased that Knibbs has been confirmed. Knibbs was one of those players we wanted whether league one or champ and the No.1 target. Think he knits this team together now.CafcWest said:

Came out today. I think they’re very fair in their comments (although they seemed to have forgotten that Small had signed for Preston which is very unlike them)Scoham said:

19th is a very sensible prediction for us and I am pretty sure most of us would take that now. Most of our star signings haven’t played this high so they are a gamble. But, as they stated, we have an outstanding manager.
If we finish above Blackburn as they predict we’ll have had a decent season.10 -

I wouldn't read too much into Kelman not doing anything at Wembley. May didn't score for Cheltenham against us while Ahadme scored twice for Cambridge against us in one game. Kelman scored 27 goals last season and i'm sure would have produced similar numbers playing for us in a better team than Orient.Garrymanilow said:

I hope we can move a few on now. Taylor, Ahadme and A Mitchell probably won’t get a look in. What a very strong squad we have. I think it’s been mentioned on here before, that we’re not building a first XI plus adequate back up/cover, we’re building a squad where by X is as good as X and it shouldn’t matter who starts. For example, Apter/TC or Godden/Kelman.Got a feeling Tanto will start first game, as will Carey and Apter. After that, not sure which of the newbies will feature - I’m working on the basis Kaminski is not fit. I thought I read somewhere he’s injured1

Honestly I think we may need to start having a conversation about @Goddenole being a better source than Cawley at this point14

What's wrong with that?carly burn said:NTTT podcast got us finishing 19th.0 -
Never seen a person come on the site and be so accurate like they have.Crispywood said:Honestly I think we may need to start having a conversation about @Goddenole being a better source than Cawley at this point
As stated by people earlier, as long as people come on here with information they have heard, and share it with the intent that they just want to give good news, and aren't just doing it for attention, it is always very welcome.
@Pavoren007 did his bit earlier in the window and so has @Goddenole thankful to them both, as the summer transfer thread can be great, especially when people with genuine sources add to it, sorry if I forgot anyone else who has been bang on the money.

I think outs are going to be our next business. Tipped by many, AMB, A Mitchell, Ahadme, Kanu, Taylor. Either loan or perm, some are worth a fee to L1 but doubt we will get one. A few kids to go on loan, but I can see players like Doc, Berry and Godden being unhappy at being down the pecking order and wanting a move. Fullah will get more game time than them. Nominal fees but doubt we will be too bothered. Perhaps a further clear-out in January if others are not up to the mark. I can also see us getting another under the radar forward. Tovide?7

Not a big fan of Doc but he could be retained as cover for Coventry. I don't know why Godden is suddenly so denigrated. A few weeks ago he was our best striker, and he could be that again if 100% fit. Perhaps something bad has been revealed about his fitness that I have missed? As for Berry, don't get me started ...Gisappointed said:... I can see players like Doc, Berry and Godden being unhappy at being down the pecking order and wanting a move. I cannot see any of that three getting near the wages we are paying them, so may be hard to shift.
