Got in the car and we have Pompey and Derby fans wanting to get in and grab Knibbs. Arrrive 2 hours later to news we have shithoused the Champ and signed him anyway.Oh and Warwick Davis has just gone past on a hoverboard. Charlton going mental in the transfer market and I see Jason Pearce (or a look a like) and Warwick Davis at Universal Florida. What times we live in.14

Long way for Fukuda to come if he fails the medical with a gammy kneeflyingkiwiDK said:
Doesn’t really fit with the “travel far to get back” comment though does it? Donley is a Tottenham player so why would he need to return to Asia after the alleged meeting on Monday? My moneys on Fukuda.MarcusH26 said:
Donley. He's with spurs in Korea until Sunday. I know with the Knibbs signing it might be odd to sign another AM but I could still see it happeningScoham said:
Right, Knibbs done, this is the next rumour. Fukuda??John_Fitzpatrick1 said:An unnamed player who has to “travel far to get back” has a meeting scheduled for Monday. Cant go into specifics around the type of meeting but this would only happen after a deal has gone through.I expect a strong rumour/update to come fourth in the next few days.Or maybe I’ve misinterpreted the quote.4 -
Alwaysneil said:I heard that during his running session up in Colchester he wax encouraged to run harder 'Come on Knibbs put some effort in for gods sake' and he loudly retorted 'You can shove your fake god up your arse Jonesy'.
End of interest.
Knibbs must have explained that he was misheard and he really said 'You can shove your cake Godden. Up your arse Jonesy' as he burnt past Godden and then Lloyd Jones in the B group bleep test.0 -
Did Jason Pearce wrestle someone in the queue for the hotdog stall, before going down, claiming a foul?DamoNorthStand said:Got in the car and we have Pompey and Derby fans wanting to get in and grab Knibbs. He wrestled Warwick Davis off his hoverboard to get to the front of the pretzel queue.1 -

I thought we've stopped signing donkeys nowMarcusH26 said:Probably waaaaaay too optimistic and would need quite a few outs to make it work , but could it still be 2-3 more to come? Wouldn't be surprised if it was Donkey,RWB (Fukuda please , Dexter doesn't sound up to it) and then Joe Bennett gets a year deal as depth?1 -
At some point soon we'll be asked to mark the window activity. Honestly I can't see why I should give it less than 10. It's been absolutely textbook. Well there isn't a textbook on it, but every sensible thing on CL that anybody has ever written about how to have a successful window, they've done.
I'm frankly stunned by it all. Hats off to everyone involved. Now we need to reciprocate by filling the place. I know I'm a fine one to talk about that - but I'm over for Millwall, that's how confident I am 🤣31 -
Can’t see Donley now.
With Fukada, could it be the deals been done and we have just been awaiting the work permit to be granted. Am I right in saying you need to apply in this country and then return home whilst awaiting the permit to be granted, or something like that.2 -
I reckon GoddenOle is Gavin Carter25

The board closed this deal three days ago and have since just sat around monitoring Charlton Life.

Can I just say, we've signed so many new players, it'll take some time to know who's who on the pitch, I mean they could all pretty much start the first game...🤷♂️4

I'm almost getting more nervous the better our window look as it feels like the teams that people on social media claim have 'won' the transfer window tend to not actually do that well. Jones teams take a while to get going so I wouldn't be that surprised if we saw more of the old guard than people are expecting at first. If and when it clicks though it's exciting to think about how our team might look in full flow. Definitely beats scooping up the likes of Oshilaja and Oztumer on free transfers like the last time we came up9

Come on nathan let's just spend that last bit of money for Shinnosuke Fukuda, get it done and I think we are there, What a window it has been, let's now also try and move on some of the younger guys and some of the fringe players4

I’ve been pressing F5 all week, then decide settle into a bottle of wine and miss the excitement. Great news. COYA.0

There is a downside to all this positive transfer news of course which is rarely acknowledged on this forum.
Many loyal and long standing Lifers are feeling under intolerable pressure to change their user names.50 -
I'm sure Jones is aiming higher and will demand more, and the frenzy of the summer window has given us reason to hope it might be a much more comfortable season than merely avoiding the drop but, despite all that, if we finish anywhere from 16th to 21st then we will have had a great season, regardless of all the new signings. I think if we all keep that mindset then the odds are we will finish the season very satisfied as a fanbase, especially of we come on stronger in the second half of the year to give increased hope that we can push on again in 26/27.Garrymanilow said:I'm almost getting more nervous the better our window look as it feels like the teams that people on social media claim have 'won' the transfer window tend to not actually do that well. By that do you mean you think we have enough strikers now lolgolfaddick said:Can I be the first one to say.....
I think we've signed too many players. No idea where they are all going to fit in. Knibbs & Costello ? Coventry & Doc ? What about Berry ?
Doing my head in 😉😆.0 -

I don't get into how many other clubs are pushing the boat out in terms of spending, and we are certainly making headlines, but my Millwall mates assure me that they brought in seven, Doughty being the seventh. Interesting to see how many other clubs, excluding those relegated from the premiership have decided that they need to splash the cash.Garrymanilow said:I'm almost getting more nervous the better our window look as it feels like the teams that people on social media claim have 'won' the transfer window tend to not actually do that well.
