Someone spare a thought for the Orient fans.
It's Stockport who have been unjustly treated in all this. Kelman's offside goal, Tanto's last minute miss, both v orient and we have signed both of them. Something about that doesn't sit right with me.

A top quality RWB then I think we are done.
That is the gap now. A RWB who can defend primarily, like Edwards, is what we need. After that we could survive in the Champ this season on the basis of a solid defence and some real sparkle, Knibbs, Kelman and Apter, up front.

An unnamed player who has to “travel far to get back” has a meeting scheduled for Monday. Cant go into specifics around the type of meeting but this would only happen after a deal has gone through.

I expect a strong rumour/update to come fourth in the next few days.
Right, Knibbs done, this is the next rumour. Fukuda??
Donley. He's with spurs in Korea until Sunday. I know with the Knibbs signing it might be odd to sign another AM but I could still see it happening
Doesn’t really fit with the “travel far to get back”  comment though does it? Donley is a Tottenham player so why would he need to return to Asia after the alleged meeting on Monday? My moneys on Fukuda.

Or maybe I’ve misinterpreted the quote.
Far to get home couldn’t get much further than Japan could it ?

    He's just a cut-price Jude Bellingham.

Unreal.... Truly unreal. Knibbs is a great signing but will need a few weeks to get match ready but oh boy this should give us a great opportunity to make a real go of it and not just avoid relegation.

Does this mean our banter era is officially over now?

Apart from  Ramsay, L  Jones, Edwards and Coventry, we have now brought in replacements for the rest of last season's first team except RWB
    Kaminski
    Ramsay, Jones, Bell
    RWB Coventry Costello Edwards
    Knibbs
    Apter Kelman

That front three scored 45 goals and had 14 assists in the league last season between them.

Not even room for Burke, Olaofe or Carey in this lineup, let alone Gillesphey, Docherty, Berry, TC, Anderson, Godden  or Leaburn

…as the manager he’s probably not that involved with the details of the deal. He’s either transferred or his not. He can hardly come out and say we are trying to screw Charlton for a few more quid. His interview reads to me he wants to know if Knibbs will be available for selection or not. I expect he may be on the bench or not included as he will not be prepared based on this week’s negotiations seemingly taking their toll.
The answer is that he will not be available for selection

I don’t see where Donley fits in. Unless him or Carey takes Docherty’s place as competition for JRC. But others have said Docherty can’t dropped…

I don’t know our new players at all , but I’d factor in this in as the long term vision :

    Kaminski

    Ramsay, Jones, Bell/ Gillesphey

JRC, Apter, Coventry , Knibbs, Edwards

    Kelman  , Olaofe.

    looks good .

I remember reading earlier this week that Knibbs wasn’t really a ball in to feet player he’s better running on to it, depending on how we set up there could be room for Donley.

Doesn’t really get better than this (at least for Charlton) in terms of transfer windows.

Don’t really want the season to start now.

I said that as RWB is where Apter has played so far, and JRC has played CM, so expect that’s the aim but with those 2 the other way around.

Coventry the defensive of the midfield 3, Knibbs the attacking one.

What’s also exciting is we can make 5 attacking subs without significantly weakening the team.
