It will be interesting to see who leaves now. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Berry and Godden moved on
Could possibly see Berry go, but Godden's experience will be vital for players like Kelman to learn from. I'd be very surprised if he left.
Would like both to stay. Berry scored a good few important goals last season that only he would've scored.
That was before we signed Carey and Knibbs who both play his position. Berry is struggling to make our bench once everyone is match fit.

Been a concern that Godden has not played in the pre-seasons.

Interesting that transfer market have updated the fees they think we’ve paid this window, looks about right to what we’ve heard. Crazy numbers for us and more than I was expecting, spent around 11/12m now.

Watched Kelmans behind the scenes and appears that Godden says he’s torn his calf when speaking to Kelman

Berry will definitely be on the bench because he's exactly the kind of player who pops up at the end of games with goals. 3 of his 7 goals for us came in injury time, his 2 Premier League goals came in the 89th and 92nd minutes, and the season before that he scored 3 goals, two of them in the 87th and 90th minutes. It's also notable that his last minute goals happened when we were less good at controlling games at the start of the season and were pushing for a goal after keeping it tight, which is something we'll likely be doing a lot next season. I think he has a big role to play as a sub who can pop up with some key goals to snatch points back for us

In terms of attacking players, assuming we play the same shape as last season and Apter is in the Small position, for the 3 attacking positions we have

    Leaburn
    Kelman
    Godden
    Knibbs
    TC
    Tanto
    Carey

All likely to be ahead of Berry when fit, 4 of which were signed this summer.

Rich Cawley’s and Louis Mendez’s latest podcast, covers recent rumours.
At the start Rich mentioned watching a documentary on Jaws, is this a clue like them throwing in the word Bell a few weeks ago? Any players nicknamed Jaws or Shark?

Probably not, in which case it’s another opportunity for some fish puns until the next rumour pops up.

  • Time to go all out for Fukuda get him in, get A Mitchell, Ahadme, Kanu and maybe z Mitchell out on loans then we’re golden for the next year

Once Fukuda joins, no one will be able to stop us. We’ll do the treble, consecutive seasons

we get 9 subs this season, ofc he will make the bench
  • Surely now John Fitzpatricks tease must be Donley ?????? He’s in Korea with Spurs. That’s far to get home. Or could it be the Japanese Fukuda 🤷🏻‍♂️
I will know for sure on Monday and have asked to be updated. My feeling now is maybe it is just Knibbs but the long way back still wouldn’t make sense.

Those fees listed are not in £GBP, they're in € Euro 💶

It's a shame but I think quite a few academy players will be moving on. Anderson, Mitchell, Kanu and Campbell are all currently superfluous.

NJ loves Anderson , he'll still be on the bench most weeks. TC probably too

I am a fan of Campbell, part the way he was so easily marked out of the play-offs games makes me think he will need to improve quite a bit to step up to Champ level

He did usually get doubled up on last year as without Thierry we didn't have a threat on the other side, think he will benefit from the signings that come in for them to occupy some defenders etc

Window has been near on faultless and seemingly just getting better with each signing

Mitchell signed a new contract part way through last season and then impressed in the SPL.

Anderson is likely going to be in the matchday 20 more often than not.

TC will be one of 5 strikers, we need options up front even if he's mainly a sub.

Kanu appeared to be close to going to Wimbledon on loan, I think we'll want to see him have a full season on loan in L1 before we consider letting him go permanently.

Think Zach has a real chance of staying put and not going back on loan , if we're going to have worries about Burke it would be smart to keep Zach around.

Hope Wimbledons signing of Danilo Orsi hasn't put pay to Kanus loan , completely understand from our end why it hasn't gone through yet though.
