Just because Tuchel is an overrated manager (imo), we shouldn't pine for Southgate back. This is just a poor appointment. Should've hired a manager with a clear attacking vision and intent to play that way.2 -

I'm not saying that we should be going back to Southgate either, I'm pointing out as well that we've focused on our desperation for short term by going for a Manager who is going to undo everything good that made playing for England over the last few years... The right appointment would have carried that on.

We've done well of late, because we've focused on ourselves, focusing on the press... Like you say, all the next man needed to do was build on that, not re-write the whole manual.1 -
Andorra did basically the same thing to Spain 12 months ago - they were only 1-0 behind at half time, from a set piece.

Problem starts with the squad selection. On no planet should Henderson, Walker and Toney be in the squad in 2025 building towards a tournament.
Get some players in that could contribute in the next tournament.

Jesus wept, that Andorran player running at our defence like that was very concerning.
The defence is probably going to be the hardest part for Tuchel to work on, he's got Lewis-Skelley coming through, but realistically Maguire and Walker are on their way down, Stones is injury prone, and we dont really have anyone else yet that is defensively reliable enough.0 -
