    I definitely wouldn't class Southgate as a 'genius tactician'. Can you see a queue of clubs lining up to take him as manager?

    No one thinks England players are better than they are, we simply know they are good enough. You don't get to a WC semi final, WC quarter final and 2 consecutive Euro finals in our last 4 tournaments if your players are rubbish.

    We could quite easily line up with players from the below teams, and (Everton aside) these are not poor teams, they're amongst the best in Europe.

                    Everton

    Madrid - City - Villa - Arsenal

             Arsenal - Madrid

    Arsenal  - Chelsea  -  City

    When you look at the games and tournaments that out top players play in all the time such as champion league, World Club tournament etc it’s hardly surprising that they aren’t exactly going to be busting a gut when playing Andorra infront of a few fans. Maybe for these games we should play a few fringe players who would hopefully use the games to show what they can do

    Should have played a B team & let the main players take a hard earned rest. If a B team (still made up of premier league players) couldn't beat Andorra then there is no hope for English football.

    It just seems a complete mess. If you don’t even care about these games, at least use people like Wharton over Henderson to get them involved and learn something

    I had to leave on the hour to get the train back to London, but there are collective groans across the carriage as the news of the third comes in.

    Saturday was a fcking shambles and tonight is just embarrassing. I don't get the squad selections and too many of the players don't seem arsed. Hopefully it's just from tiredness.
