Someone has uploaded the last seven minutes of the game up on YouTube (in two seperate videos). The amount of positive contributions from Gilbert during that time is superb:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jht7rmjyG3I
89:30 - winning a duel and releasing Small, followed by receiving the ball back and playing a beautiful crossfield pass to Campbell.
91 - receives the ball after some good work by Aneke and plays a great through ball for Small who wins the corner.
91:34 - takes the corner for Gilleshpey to score.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmFhOcCTthQ
94:30 - wins the ball on the edge of the box and keeps it alive by playing it out to Ramsay.
95:06 - brilliant block on the edge of our own box.
95:24 - wins a header to keep the ball, in the processing putting Small through to win a corner.
96 - takes the corner for Ramsay to win it.
Has anyone had a bigger impact versus minutes played this season? He also got the brilliant winning assist vs Peterborough. I don't know if he has the Berry tendency to get into the box, but he seems to have a lot of qualities for linking the play up, plus the brilliant set pieces of course.24 -
Not much to add, it’s all been said here, but what an amazing feeling winning an important game in that manner. Still delirious.oohaahmortimer said:Pratley was brilliant for them and his game management and craftiness is unreal, fair play to him and he gave us a clap after that , full respect to himI did spot Pratley though when he and his teammates were walking towards & clapping their fans behind the goal to our left. He gave a few glances over, smiling, and definitely giving us a few of those claps. If only it hadn’t been Watson with a year left on his contract that meant we lost him. Imagine the positive effect he’d have had on our youngsters over the last few years. Will always have a lot of time for him.22 -

The barrier blocking off the dugout from the stands was practically aligned with the end of the technical area and where Jones was stood a lot of the game, so the fans could stand about a metre away from him. When Orient scored a flurry of them came over and were giving him all kinds of abuse right in his face, which he ignored. They were back again at FT to give him a bit more. When we scored the second a couple of our bench directed their celebrations back at the orient fans which I can understand given what they'd been doingredbuttle said:
Apparently someone was also spitting at Nathan Jonesredbuttle said:
I know someone who went and was sitting amongst their fans.Ducktapeshoerepairs said:

Apparently there were lots of racist comments aimed at our players.lordromford said:
It’s an odd one this, because generally I don’t think we do goad the oppo fans that much. Maybe a bit, but it’s not something I’ve noticed when watching on tv. Happy to be corrected by those who go to games, but that’s my impression.jimmymelrose said:
I just wish that our players wouldn't goad the home fans. I find it unclassy and unnecessary.Callumcafc said:https://x.com/richmarriner/status/1895943754990961014?s=46&t=ynww82GMl7VKBjthBflU0gGreat clips of the goals and resulting celebrationsMakes me wonder if there was a particularly nasty element in the Orient crowd yesterday? It’d surprise me because I’ve always felt Os fans were alright. I know NJ mentioned getting dogs abuse, but he was in a totally different part of the ground from where our players went to do their shithousing.
As an aside, what was Thierry trying to do when he sat down with his back to them? Ref pretty much immediately told him to pack it in, but was he making a bit of a point?fenaddick said:Second goal and some excellent shithousing

If Connor can avoid a yellow tomorrow as we need him on Saturday against Stockport. If he gets booked then he will miss Crawley and Wigan.
Even better if he avoids a yellow card for the rest of the season5 -

Needs to avoid a booking in the next 4 games to escape a ban, he's been doing very well to not get booked in recent games without letting it be detrimental to his performanceross1 said:If Connor can avoid a yellow tomorrow as we need him on Saturday against Stockport. Thought it was 10 yellows in 32 games, then you get a two match suspension. We’ve played 33, so it moves on 15 yellows to the end of the normal season.ross1 said:If Connor can avoid a yellow tomorrow as we need him on Saturday against Stockport. He was easily my MotM. As I may already have said, I’d love to see a clip reel of all of his contributions on Saturday. His passing is crisp and accurate, and he’s comfortable on the ball. Can’t see how he doesn’t start on Tuesday, but if he doesn’t, it’s still great when he comes on as sub.jamesking93 said:Someone has uploaded the last seven minutes of the game up on YouTube (in two seperate videos). Berry has been here all season. Therefore is used to NJ fitness regime, and has started a LOT of games this season.
Start Gilbert, against a team that is fully fit, and as soon as he misplaces a pass, or get's caught in possession, no doubt the fans will soon be on his back!
And we're playing a team that it's important to get a result against, if we want to keep our play off momentum going.
If we had nothing to play for, fine, experiment a little. But every game at the moment is incredibly important.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
The only change is Doc for Karoy. Let Gilbert come on as a substitute, against a tiring opposition, and let him strut his stuff...16 -
@Redmidland im so sorry i wasn’t aware of your recent struggles. Keep fighting my friend 💪

Skimming through the match replay, their keeper flapped badly at a couple of corners earlier in the second half, on where Ramsay missed a great chance to score from a very similar position to his goal, and another where he dropped the ball and Godden hooked over.0

Good videos. Everything Gilbert did looked Championship level.
Miles also did some excellent things and it suits him better to play at that intensity level (physically and concentration wise).

Yeah, I wouldn’t massively disagree with any of that. Still think he’ll be an important player for us and potentially could become a starter over the next few weeks, fitness allowing. Of course he wouldn’t have to play 90 minutes, he could always be subbed at 60, in the same way as Berry sometimes is.SteveACS said:

I hope you can follow tomorrow's game under much less stressful conditions, Red. Lie back and think of Charlton. All the best to you.Redmidland said:It's been so difficult for me, I'm laid up in a hospital bed in the centre of Leicester. I'm in absolute agony and hoping for an operation to relieve the pain. Anyway 2pm came and went as did 2.30. So I tuned in to listen on Charlton Live.
3 pm I'm told op is postponed for today, try again tomorrow.
I was ecstatic! I listened to whole game and went wild when we won it, lying in agony with 'tears' in my eyes due to winning at the final whistle was more than I could take.
